Status: offline 		Hello all. Does anyone know if we are allowed to use collerspace in a local group name? I would like to pay homage to them if im allowed.
Also where would one look to find bdsm group names? Just to get ideas. Thanks id appreciate any help.

A group of masochists is a gasp or a whimper.
A group of male tops is a Gor.
I'm sure there's others.


As for your questions, I'd ask admin on here about using the forum's name for your own group rather than the posters, and Fetlife is pretty good for finding regional BDSM groups and munches.

Status: offline 		One thing many groups do is look at a local city's history to find out what nicknames are attached to it (other names the town is known as locally) and use it as the group's name.

"Elm City Kinksters" as an example...of course if you are planning to hold Munches at restaurants (I.e. Reserve a table or banquet room) you might want to go with a more vanilla-friendly name to avoid "outing" your group members in public. You need to take into consideration many people have professional lives and families.

I do not understand what you are saying/asking OP? I am not sure how name dropping goes on datingkinky & fetlife....but both those sites have the local/regional thingy and i am sure this one has one somewhere

A local group name where Op? Although I tend to think that top of the tree and everything below it subsets till you drill down to regional and as i said i am sure this site has this section somewhere.

Naming a group after someone else's business is essentially using it to give yourself credibility. I would consider that shady.

And as someone else pointed out - if this is for a munch/social/discussion group that meets in a vanilla venue, you're better off with a vanilla name.
