Why the fuck would anyone want to be in a place with too many people who are yelling and screaming ? And actually pay to be there ? I don't need to PAY to be a place where I cannot get my favorite beer, adjust the heat to my liking, light up a joint, pause the movie or concert at will if I need to piss. Why the hell would I pay for that, plus that I can't tell other people to STFU or GTFO ? Why would I pay the gas to go to a place to pay to get in and have all those disadvantages ? Keep it. i don't need your 20 channel surround I only got two ears. Even if you had true 3D (which IS possible bot not yet implemented in theaters) what good is that to me ? Does it make me smarter, or stronger, or faster ? And you have this shit in "gun free zones" which really means "you got a bunch of us in one place so come kill us". I don't even go to bars anymore. Why should I pay ten times as much for a drink to listen to a cryon drunk talking some shit I could never care less about, and have to stand inline to go take a piss ? And watch their media, sports games and bullshit like that, and listen to music that if I heard on the radio I would change the station. Why ? I mean the shit they call music that if it ever came out of one my CD playing devices I would break the CD in half. Why would I PAY to subject myself to that shit ? Yup, the Man cave is where it is at folks. I can get almost any video or movie I want, and I have a half decent sound system. My screen is big enough. Used to have a projector but that was too much so I got rid of it. And they are cheap now anyway. And then like at a bar you eventually have to drive home at a theater that is a different problem because you can't even get a beer in most of them. And you cannot smoke, even cigarettes. And though I did stop, really, why the hell would I ever want to go there and pay them $20 to watch something I can get for free on the net ? Now that I think of it, we are really watching the death of an industry. One of the guys who taught me some things was a member of the projectionists union. Anyway, this scalping problem is not all that hard to solve. The whole entertainment industry is bitching that they are losing profits due to piracy but that is bullshit. They are losing money because they are putting out garbage. Same is true of the music industry. Shit, even cars. Look at the ads, zero down, zero a month for the first year, zero interest. And with most new cars, your insurance costs more than the car payment. but back to what they laughingly call entertainment. They switch scenes so fast you have no idea, there is no plot and it looks like the camerawork was done by an eight year old who just had his first six beers. The camerawork displays every fucking thing they used to teach cameramen NOT to do. And then they make the picture all green or all blue or some shit. And then they got special effects that make you think your TV is broke and you need to take it to a shop. But I got news, there are no more TV shops, so you just have to go buy a new one. This is progress. T^T
