It's difficult for a sub of any gender to find a top without paying. There are less female subs after a Dominatrix than male subs, but the numbers are still such that they favour the tops over the bottoms.

Really? I think this might have more to do with the sub in question than overall availability. At events were I volunteer, there is all kinds of pick-up play going on. Unless someone has poor social skills, poor hygiene, or has been excluded for previous poor behavior; finding someone with whom to play isn't a huge ordeal.

I don't know about that, I found two of them. But then again I didn't find them online (or in the community for that matter). You'd be surprised at how kinky vanilla people really are when you give them the chance to cut loose.

I never had a problem finding a Top of either gender to play with, but then again, I was also very active withing my community. I had a lot of offers when I was single and mostly played with women because I didn't want the issues that arouse from playing with men.

The issues had nothing to do with the community. It had to do with men expecting/feeling entitled to more than what was being offered. And that happened far more outside of the community than within it.

I am glad, really glad, that you and lady Pact, and so many others have had such a positive experience with "the community", I don't share those experiences, my experience was utterly negative (and creepy, pedophilic, and rapey), and I have managed very well without the community ever since. However, I still do advise people to give it a try, because of people like you and LP, and the obviously good experiences you have had with it. It's just not for me, I have no desire to give it a second chance. Call it a trigger issue if you like.

I met M at the Orange County Social.

My BF at the time was out of town doing publicity for his book, mutual friends talked me into going to the social to hang with them. M was one of their friends and the two of us ended up becoming good friends.

Three years later, when R~ and I had broken up, M was the guy trying to get me out of the house - suddenly things clicked and we've been together for 17 years.

So, while I acknowledge that it doesn't work for everyone, I can certainly vouched that it worked for me.

I started out in the Los Angeles community, which meant that there's a large pool of people. While I certainly did hit on by some creepy old guys and an amazingly large number of liars - I also gained a large pool of friends that were around my age.
