GOP Senators Ignore Trump And Vow To Move Forward On Russian Hacking Investigation
Dec 19th, 2016

If the proposed bill passes, it "would mandate a new select Senate committee on cybersecurity" which would investigate the election-season cyber attack.

50 G.O.P. Officials Warn Donald Trump Would Put Nation’s Security ‘at Risk’

Fifty of the nation’s most senior Republican national security officials, many of them former top aides or cabinet members for President George W. Bush, have signed a letter declaring that Donald J. Trump “lacks the character, values and experience” to be president and “would put at risk our country’s national security and well-being.”

Mr. Trump, the officials warn, “would be the most reckless president in American history.”

The letter says Mr. Trump would weaken the United States’ moral authority and questions his knowledge of and belief in the Constitution. It says he has “demonstrated repeatedly that he has little understanding” of the nation’s “vital national interests, its complex diplomatic challenges, its indispensable alliances and the democratic values” on which American policy should be based. And it laments that “Mr. Trump has shown no interest in educating himself.”

So what do we do about this now -- pretend it's not there, hope it magically goes away?

u forget whom ur addressing ... the gop..... of course it goes away,...... right along with the paying the national debt, workers rights, bank rules, women's reproductive rights, the GDP, the recovery, low interest rates, world respect, the celebrity apprentice ratings....

What would the internet be like if we couldn't say trump is a moron?

The Republican party complains government doesnt work for people, and then makes darn sure it cannot.

New GOP resistance in push to create Senate committee on Russia

And the spineless weasels cave.

Top Republicans and Democrats are quietly maneuvering to force a vote on the Senate floor establishing a new committee to investigate the Russian cyberattacks on the US political system, a move that could put GOP leaders who oppose the idea in an awkward spot just as Donald Trump comes into power.

But in a sign of the hurdles ahead for the proponents of the new panel, two key swing votes -- Republican Sens. Jeff Flake of Arizona and Susan Collins of Maine -- are pushing back on the bipartisan efforts to create the committee.
