Hi everyone,

To anyone that enjoys or prefers younger subs... What is it that appeals to you about them?

I have noticed that - at least in the community where I live - older Dom/mes tend to seek those who are younger. For myself personally, I also tend to get propositioned by those who are older as well, much more than from those around my own age.

(I know that there are some predatory Dom/mes that seek out those who are new and inexperienced... who are naive to a lot of things BDSM. But I am asking more about those who are not predatory, but still have that preference :). )

I am meant to be meeting an older Domme soon, and I suppose I'm asking myself why she is interested in me rather than someone a little more experienced who could perhaps offer more for that reason, if you get my drift. Who knows their limits, etc.

Possibly they find them easier to teach and train or even break. They find that many are naiive and can be easily led. A lot of the subs have only read books like 50 shades and believe it is all lovely and furry and snuggly. Some of those Doms or Doms just want a dumb object they can just do as they like with so a teenager or such who has little education and no real experience of the world might suit them more. Who knows ? there are probably many, many more reasons too.

Lots of Dominants enjoy taking on a bit of a mentoring/guiding/semi-parental role with their submissives.
And lots of them find it easier to imagine themselves taking on such a role with people younger than themselves, because mentors tend to be older, and more experienced than their subjects.

It's usually not even a conscious preference. Just a subconscious direction people lean towards to fulfill a desire they haven't really fully realized themselves. So it's often not even a case that they wouldn't want to be in a relationship with people their own age, or older, if they meet the right person towards whom they can see themselves in that mentoring role. It's just that when thinking about an abstract hypothetical person they might want to guide, they more easily picture that person being younger than themselves.

Other possible reasons besides the above:
Outside of maybe she is just looking for a strong young man who won't crumble at the first day of labour on the farm, women and men hit their sexual primes at different age groups. Women tend to peak later than men by about 10 years, so if said Domme is looking for a sexual submissive, a younger more virile subject would be the logical choice over an older male. There are also those who simply like to keep younger people around to help them feel young.

There are many possible reasons, you should ask specific persons in order to find out theirs, if that is what you are interested in. I would point out, however, that older does not translate automatically into more experience.

It's not always up to the dom. I have known submissive women who have been approached by younger doms and in almost all cases there's little reciprocal interest. A woman in her 40s submitting to a 25 year old doesn't have broad appeal but it's not too unusual to see a dom significantly older than a submissive. My guess is because one's awareness of sexuality comes at a young age when authority is represented entirely by older people, the submissive might persist in seeing someone who is much older as her as someone capable of holding authority.

I'd be interested to hear what dommes think.

Does some maths the youngest person I have ever dated was 35 at my 45 last year...The last 12 years all save two have fallen within plus/minus 3 years of my actual age. Someone age is of no real consequence to me but having said that I will not date anyone vulnerable. Which I tend to find is the young lass. Now older women will date a younger guy as they cling onto the remnants of their long faded youth...and odd dichotomy forever doomed....and I will not touch a women who has ever done that

True beauty now I have no problem defining that, admiring that...befriending that...respecting that...ravishing that....the rest I leave for the poor.

I would probably avoid this particular kind of Dom/me, as I think they sound like more on the predatory side of things. Though I can understand the appeal of wanting to teach, and starting off with a 'blank slate' so to speak.

I see, that makes a lot of sense. I suppose it is strange for me, because I recently had an experience with a Dom who did the mentoring thing (posted a thread about it here, in fact), which I strongly disliked. What is weird is that I actually find the idea of being guided by a Domme quite appealing and am curious about that... Maybe even trying ageplay (which again, like with my old Dom, these were very much hard-limits and extremely unappealing to me). Has anyone else discovered that their interests and limits differ depending on whether they are seeing a Dom compared to Domme, or vice versa? I never expected what I seek to differ depending on the gender of the Dominant.

Haha, I doubt she is looking for a 'strong young man' in my case, as I am a woman too ;) Not that this negates your point. I suppose youth, virility and so on can be quite appealing. It's hard for me to connect with that personally, as I've always found myself attracted more to women's bodies who are in their thirties. I'm a couple of years older than my peers at uni, and they all look visually very (too, in a way) young for me, so I can only imagine how young I look myself in the eyes of an older person. I guess I'll just have to accept that (luckily!) women are attracted to younger women, whether or not I can relate to that. :)

I think you make a great point, I hadn't thought of that. I myself can't imagine submitting to someone who was younger than me, for the authority reasons you mentioned.

Thanks for your reply. I've been in one dynamic (not relationship) where the age gap was 19 years. The rest of my relationships have always been with people 1-3 years older than myself. I'd say my age preferences are -1 to +5 years around my age for a serious partner. For a D/s dynamic, I'd prefer a guy about 10 years older, and a woman up to 20 years older. I don't like vulnerability either.

You want a photo of myself and the other woman? ;) You may well do, but I'm not about to be sending photos of such kinds to randoms on the internet! If that is what you are asking. You can doubt my situation with the older woman if you desire.

Having said that, I haven't ever done online D/s myself. Do female subs have a reputation for such a thing? (I'm a female). I thought this was just a stereotype directed more at male subs? (Just noticed I didn't specify I'm female myself, sorry!).

I say many things....women get more beautiful as they age. But few realise this...this women I require if any of you actually exist.

Sorry dizzy were you saying something to me on your fuking knees in the non apparent manner?...mannerisms I do not particular care for, nor does anyone like me...is that okay with you non-entity?

As I have said since the beginning of time age is irrelevant for the correct reasons.....and since i got divorced 12 years ago I have not dated anyone outwith plus/minus 3 of my actual age save two and those tow did not exceed 10.Now have i met spoken to 18-19 years olde - yes . Both could have dated me for the correct reasons I would have been okay with that.

But nowadays mad olde decrepit bints desire a hole stuffing and their numbers are the many as they desperately cling onto their youth

To be truly desired is a concept outwith almost all of you on here.

I'm not significantly younger than him but this is my first power relationship. What he enjoyed about that was that everyone else he talked to complained that he didn't do things the same way their ex had.

He found not being compared to an incompatible partner was a relief.
