ORIGINAL: Musicmystery FBI accepts CIA conclusion that Russians hacked to help Trump USA TODAY 19 hrs · The FBI is now backing the CIA's assessment that Russian hackers sought in part to tilt the general election in favor of President-elect Donald Trump when it breached American political institutions resulting in the theft of a trove of sensitive communications, a U.S. official said Friday. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2016/12/16/fbi-agrees-cia-russia-hacked-help-trump/95528318/?csp=breakingnews Here's what I don't get: 1. People are riled up because Russia hacked the DNC (& other servers?) 2. People are riled up because Russia "leaked" information to WikiLeaks (no idea if they leaked all they hacked, or just the stuff on Hillary) 3. People are riled up because WikiLeaks exposed the leaked information that made Hillary Clinton look bad. 4. People aren't all that riled up about the content of the information that made Hillary Clinton look bad. This isn't a court of law, where a judge can instruct jurors to ignore something that was said, or evidence that was presented. We can't go back and gift Hillary the Presidency because the way she was exposed wasn't legal. If there wasn't information or actions by Hillary Clinton and/or her team, the hacking would have had zero impact. So, imo, we need to do two things, going forward: 1. Greatly improve our cybersecurity. 2. Get more non-shitheads to run for office, get nominated, and run non-shitty campaigns.
