This is my whole complaint about the manspreading issue. People turn a blind eye at any wrong women do while pointing fingers when men do any wrong. That's why its called manspreading and not peoplespreading. It's fucking sexist. There is no argument around that.

Fair enough. And I understand exactly what you were saying. But let me point out something to you-did you see the part in my post about where I said sorry peeps, I couldn't help it? That was a tip-off that I did that on purpose. The whole reason I pointed that out about the guy was because I knew it would set you off.

Because it is so easy to set you off. What was the first thing you did? You immediately reached for an excuse, any excuse, to explain what I pointed out. You didn't even bother to get a clear picture of it, you just looked for anything in the picture that could be used as an excuse.

You want an evaluation of this picture from someone trying to not be biased either way? I'll give it a try:

We don't see anyone standing around, so probably not a crowded time, plenty of seating, people feel comfortable 'spreading', but honestly both of the people in the picture are actually double-violators-the guy is sitting in a disabilities seat and spreading. The girl is spreading and has a leg propped up on the disabilities seat. Technically, they should both be smacked around. But I would probably smack the girl around a little harder, just because she gives me the mental image of a dog trying to pee. And no girl should be able to do that.

Hopefully, if it were to start filling up, they would close their legs, and move to one side, leaving room for someone else to sit. Ideally, the guy would go sit next to the girl and leave the disability seat open for someone who needed it.

We don't live in a perfect world. There are always going to be dicks around. And guess what, its not always going to be the person who actually has a dick. I truly feel that if you would stop and look around a little more, you might see that there are more of us willing to acknowledge that than you think.

Status: offline 		Wayward, I'm not reaching for any excuse for the guy in that picture. Basically, my whole point is how when women do it, silence, when men do it, OMG manspreading. It's ridiculous. Making a big deal out of this issue either way, regardless who is doing it is ridiculous. My problem with this issue isn't about people spreading, it's about the double standard.

When there is plenty of space, nobody gives a shit if it's a man or a girl spreading.
Nobody says anything at all.
But, if space becomes a problem, people are asked to move or make room - regardless of gender.

And like someone else said, I'd never heard of manspreading until you brought it up on these forums.
Women don't get a free pass if they spread and the room is needed.
And men don't get the 'OMG' reaction just because they are men doing it.
I've never seen it happen the way you describe it; it just doesn't in real life.
You need to get out more and see the real world, not hide in mommy's basement looking for shit that doesn't happen.

There is no psychologically healthy male who would even pay any attention at all to this. But she was apparently aware that there would be some abject loser out there somewhere who would completely eat his shorts over her particular choice of relaxation, after a full day at work or at the uni.

One can type "pick my boogers" in the search box and Google comes up with 1,230,000 results. Almost anything in a Google search gets 1 million + hits.

"Manspreading" doesn't come close to that. I have never heard of it, no one I know has heard of it, I haven't seen that 'word' in any newspaper or magazine, or with out going to a search, anywhere on the internet.

But for someone who starts and ends his day with "women are bad bad bad!" in the search box, I suppose it's possible to trip over that contrivance eventually.

The one thing that was touched on the previous pages is certain differences if males and females.

The other thing is that phenomenon called "manners."

There are good manners and bad manners.

Bad manners get sometimes socially sanctioned. And rm firmly believes if any male gets sanctioned for bad manners it happens because he is male. But no: it is because he is a bully.

His ignorance regarding basic female anatomy and bodily functions is.

Ive paid taxes on my tampons and pads since I was 16, almost 40 years....Im not gonna get a refund, and Im in menopause right now, so the tax issue is dead to me. Except it IS a necessity (not a luxury good) for half the population.
As usual, he is shifting his ignorance to another subject he knows nothing about.

She didn't say she shouldn't get taxed because she has a vagina.
She said that the tax was unfair because it only affects women because they need tampons and pads.
That's an unfair tax in anyone's eyes - except yours.

Men don't have that problem.
It's another of those things that men don't have to deal with but women do.
But of course you turn it into a feminist rant. Typical.
Would you prefer that they didn't bother with them and leave a mess everywhere??
I think they should be issued for free because it's something they can't help needing.
