Donald Trump is behaving like a person who is made miserable by the idea of being president. He is treating the power of being the nation's commander in chief as a new toy that he can use to spite his enemies.

Status: offline 		As Trump tweets about SNL and Broadway shows, China’s Xi Jinping embraces a new, powerful role

The election of Donald J. Trump as the next US president is widely expected to propel China, and Chinese president Xi Jinping, into a new role. Trump’s talk of increasing trade barriers, disdain for global organizations and agreements, and a focus on a domestic agenda could create a more isolationist US, leaving China to fill the gap.

Already, Xi appears to be embracing the change. Since the US presidential election, Xi has held a flurry of meetings with global leaders, including some historically ignored by China’s top official in the US’s own backyard. China has also swiftly become the new, and surprising, voice on climate change. And with the Trans-Pacific Partnership, designed to counter China’s influence on Asia trade, all but abandoned, Beijing is already trumpeting the end of the US pivot to Asia.

China has even taken in Myanmarese fleeing violence in the north of the country, and offered humanitarian aid.

Status: offline 		Maybe they will have to confiscate his phone? They could give him one of those granny mobiles with no smartphone add ons that can barely handle txts, never mind twitter, and tell him that if he wants a smartphone, that's fine, but he can't have the football if he does...
(It's extraordinary -and depressing- to think that the issue of a tiny-handed president elect being incapable of stopping spouting drivel on twitter is being discussed by constitutional scholars, senior members of the security forces and GOP high-ups even as we speak...)

Status: offline 		When he becomes President. I thought he is not allowed to have internet connection on his phone anyway! Obama claims his phone can only make phone calls and can't do anything else. Everything else is blocked by security.
