I don't deal in what if's ... I deal in facts... and the fact is the average American does not believe in Trumps policies... by over three million. I already told you I believe in the process... but that process does not give Trump the mandate of the majority...Claiming it does is just ignoring facts and does a disservice to voters.

Butch

America doesn't have a power sharing system, WTF are you on

Democrats don't compromise, fuck them. BITE ME. Time for you to meet reality, IT AINT GONNA FUCKING HAPPEN.

President Trump all the way baby, with Republican House , Senate and a majority on the SC

I understand Ted Cruz may well be Scalia's replacement, too.

Happy motherfucking day

How does it feel to be not part of the solution, but a major part of the problem? You've been played, along with the rest of the Trump sheep he's about to sheer. And fooled by the same professional propagandists who learned their craft working with the billion$ of Big Tobacco during the late 20th Century. Details: http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20160105-the-man-who-studies-the-spread-of-ignorance The story missed the fact it's the Same people who spread the lies about Cancer and Tobacco are today working for the Climate Change deniers, Big Coal and the Trump organization.
Your take on US legislative reality is even further off the mark. Dems have been compromising for all the life of the party. Recently it became Republican policy to Not compromise, as the thought was only the Republicans were the anointed by theLord, or some such idiocy, and anything to oppose 'leftists' was if not legal or moral, still justified in the name of gaining power.
Obama's greatest strength has been said to be his optimism. And his greatest weakness. Time after time the country's future was damage by his belief Republicans would come together with Dems to make reasonable compromises in the nation's interest to solve problems. NOT. Obamacare was deliberately copied from an existing program, thought up by a Conservative think tank, and put into place by a Republcian Governor, Mitt Romney. A Very popular program in Mass.! Put Obama's name on it and suddenly it's Socialist poison about to destroy the Republic. Too bad coal and fossil oil energy couldn't get named for Obama, or the Right would be in the lead enacting efficient legislation to counter climate warming.
As is, Big Oil is shooting themselves in the feet. Smarter men are investing in cheaper energy with declining costs instead of tearing the soul out of our land and soil in search of last century's profits. European Oil interests are already moving to sustainable energy as they see the costs changing daily. Trump, like too many corporate leaders, are on scorched Earth missions, extracting the maximum profit this year, instead of leading an industry, nation and world to a higher plateau with benefits for all, and at least equal profits over decades, and a planet we still like and enjoy.

Boscox... I vote for the person that will represent me best... not for a party... the elected President is supposed to represent all Americans to the best of his ability... not just his party... damn you are a fanatic.

Does the national debt really matter in any real terms... or is it basically just a number we like to keep track of. Because it doesn't seem to actually impact anything in reality.

Look up how much of the budget is used to pay interest on the debt that could be used elsewhere.

You don't understand what i'm saying. I guess i'm just asking... is there ever really going to come a point when the sh*t actually hits the fan and we are screwed somehow... or is it actually some kind of a non- consequential numbers game? Like it will just be 'Dealt with' and the problem disappears.

Of course there are real world consequences. Have you ever tried making interest payments on an astronomical $21 trillion in debt? And what if interest rates skyrocket.

We would be SO fucked, people would be seriously hurt in every walk of life and the alt left would only laugh.

Yes, ultimately the shit will hit the fan. It's unavoidable though possible that the damage can be mitigated ahead of time.

Shaking up the establishment is the first step. Maybe they can hear us now
