Anyone remember Gordon Brown and why labour lost the election after he came to power – it was ultimately because he was Scottish

There's a few reasons besides him being Scottish: failing to insist that Blair stood down when he was supposed to and looking utterly ineffectual before he even became Prime Minister, his mishandling of the bank bailout, and the fact that he was stupid enough to allow the Conservatives to control his media presentaion in the run up to the election spring to mind for a start. Scottishness seems pretty trivial next all that, and I'm sure there's a load more that could be named with half an hour or so's thought.
(Now if you'd claimed that Neil Kinnock was unelectable back in '87 mostly because he was Welsh, that I could buy...)

No Wicked, Gordon Brown is seriously the dullest PM UK ever had, I think. I wondered at that time, how the hell did UK pick such a dull and unanimated guy. I am surprise he was Scottish. Scottish men are usually more lively.

I thought he was just some boring English dude.

To me, most leaders of countries NEED to have some kind of charisma which he lacked.

He is like Jeb Bush. What Trump would call Low Energy.

Actually, this guy was famously the dullest PM Britain ever had, so Broon doesn't even win that one...
