Die Braunhemden (brown shirts) were notoriously inadequate street fighters too, getting their arse kicked every time by rival supremacist gangs and communist gangs. The SA was created as a paramilitary group to protect them and enhance the effort. So as to present a PR front that these impotent loser 'babymen' (the latter being your appropriate term) could actually attain any greater highlight in life than just getting their clothes on half presentably. Hence the brown shirt thing, being of necessity based on that reality.
But there is no Sturmabteilung (SA, 'Storm Detachment') to protect these brats.
