When asked to advance to voice they become defensive and explain how very very afraid and uncomfortable they are to go to voice. I believe these are all fake profiles and posers with ulterior motives. So the hard part is sorting out who is who and since my interest is in Domme females I put it in ask a mistress since its not clear where to draw the line and pull the plug to ditch a fake.
I have had this many times with supposed "boys who want to be slaves". (I'm a Master.) I just had one last week. I quickly suspected "he" (who knows?) was a fake, but I let it go just a few days more to see if he *might* have been real.
At some point they always refuse to go a need step to get to know each other.
One is they won't send you photos (or additional photos) of themselves after you have chatted a few days.
For some it is they will NOT send you email -- but they will talk with you on Skype. But they won't voice or cam with you.
They won't give you their phone number after time has pasted. Or they give it to you, but they will only text you, never speak. If you call them you get some generic voice mail that does not give a name.
Or they won't chat on Skype, but will email you. (But never more photos.) Or after a time chatting, they agree to meet (either café or your place) and they never show up.
Sometimes some of them are really looking for someone, but they just don't have the courage to do it. But they will chat and chat and chat with you. They aren't posers, just folks who haven't found the courage to accept who they truly *ARE*. They also get tiresome.
BUT the posers are just nasty. They are basically *trolls*. They get their kicks by attempting to keep you interested and dragging you as far as they can and they do NOT stop.
The one last week wrote me a number of times here on CS and said he wanted to chat and cam on Skype with me.
So we chat then on Skype. AH, but when it came time to *cam* -- while, it would take him 10 minutes to set his cam up. I gave him 15 minutes. Meanwhile I read a book on my Kindle. After 15 minutes he said "it" was working and he need another 20 minutes. Okay. So I read more of my book. After 20 minutes he told me he was trying to find information on the web to fix the problem. (Remember, this is a "guy" who suggested we *cam* first.) I told him I knew he was a troll, blocked him on Skype. blocked him here on CB, and was going to report his profile to CB -- but you CANNOT -- they do NOT want you to -- but to report any messages from them. Lot of good that does at getting this assholes off this site.
Some of them get into the fantasy realm. I had one 19 year old "guy" tell me his parents were also into BDSM (they were well-know!) He wanted me to talk to his father on Skype! So I did (yeah, right, same person) and after truly wrapped tales of child sex abuse of "son" by "father", the "father" told me he would tell his "son" to see me, but told me if I took his "son" as a slave, I should have him castrated ASAP.
Trolls like this can really fuck you over the first few times you encounter them. You ARE looking for someone. You WANT to believe you might have found someone (at last). And so it might not occur to you at first you are just the target of some fucked up piece of shit who gets their jollies by leading honest folks on (because, sometimes, let's admit it, some of us given our situations can be somewhat desperate to *meet* someone at last).
To me, folks like that are just evil.

Holy shit! That father/son/castration gig sounds like you are being hit up by a sex-offender profiler?
Mine are far more subtle with the usual everyday bdsm stuff, bondage, strapons, whips chains, and who has to move, but the mo for the endless email people is much the same, difficulty in getting pics, and long line of excuses.
They prematurely send me their email addresses, usually an indication of phishing attempt.
the trolling fin-land posers send me their phone numbers unsolicited and straight up on the first email which is why I dont see where all this fear in communicating over a phone is coming from, and highly suspect there are other angles involved, like conducting surveys etc.
