I agree with UllrsIshtar to a point. It all has to do with personality.
This does not take into consideration the "males" who would fuck anyone and the "females" who are only interested in a sugar daddy.
All in all this is an extremely complicated question.
The bottom line, to me is, a "male" who is an asshole is just an asshole and a "female" who is a bitch is just a bitch.
By "male" I am speaking of those born with a penis. By "female" I am speaking of those born with a vagina.
As always I will admit that my thoughts plus a couple of bucks will get you a cup of coffee.

The current obsession with ascribing all manner of behaviors, drives, personality quirks, goals and desires, to be driven by gender is, IMO, juvenile. It's no more valid than it is to categorize all of that by race, birth order, sun sign, etc.

What makes up individuals is so much more complex than gender, which is certainly one component of a person's nature but by no means the most significant and certainly not uniform for each person.

What I see here in many people, not just Nicky, is personal and undoubtedly painful sexual and relationship failure. Stop looking outside yourself and whining about gender (or race or education level or whatever). Look within for the problem(s) because that's the only way you're going to fix it.

I know it can seem pedantic ... but I do sometimes wonder what 'shallow' and 'deep' actually mean. I think the words are worth interrogating at least a little bit. For instance, you get people who think, calculate, imagine ... but they really don't actually *feel* an awful lot. Someone with Asperger's is almost the classic case, I'd suggest. (Guardedly. I know fuck all about Asperger's.)

In contrast, you get people who are one apparently powerful emotion after another, but seem to have no thoughts that one would describe as 'deep', whatsoever. Despite their strength of feelings, they don't seem to have the first ability to 'philosophise' - or even to have any depth in their reasoning whatsoever. A friend of mine has a son who has William's syndrome: this, it's been described to me, is almost the polar opposite of anything on the autistic spectrum: the boy is all love - just like a puppy - but he can't even remember someone's name. He can't - and according to the shrinks will never be able to - 'work out a view' on any given subject.

As a rule ALL people are shallow.
the perception of shallowness really depends on how one defines it, and to be 100% honest, if the one doing the judging is being victimized by the imagined/or real shallowness.
What i consider shallow most people would not, and what most people consider shallow i just consider human nature.

The determination of who I fuck has everything to do with what physically attracts me, a certain body type and if he loves the same things in sex as me. I also can't do men with beards. I can't deal with facial hair. Maybe I am used to Asian guys who can't grow facial hair even if they tried and don't even need to shave. My x-husband never had to shave his face ever. I have literally refused to sleep with someone because he won't get rid of his goatee. I thought he was handsome, but his goatee was just freaking me out!

Personally, this whole shallow thing is kinda stupid. No matter how people say they ain't. I am sure everyone needs more than " just inner beauty".
We can take the most extreme cases, morbid obesity to physically handicap, loss of limbs.

Most self-proclaim "unshallow" people will not go for it, REGARDLESS how much "inner beauty" there is.

I've never met a person yet that isn't shallow to some extent. Men that drool over that pretty little thing with the nipped in waist, big tits, and curvy pert arse. Women that coo over the stud muffin with the wash board abs, muscles, and oiled body who is actually most likely gay.

I mean come on, we have a whole fricking thread dedicated to it in one of the forums that proves the whole point.

Now what people lust at very quickly in a shallow 'do me now' fashion, compared to the person they'd choose to be in a relationship with are two different things ... for most of us that live in reality.

Men are statistically more inclined to be visual creatures and often require more visual stimulation. Women have a tendency to require emotional bonds, or the illusion of emotional bonds. That said, contemporary culture drives people regardless of gender to value physical traits over many other attributes.

I was actually being serious (you can tar and feather me any time spirit) and it was 100% related to RM thread before this one.... I know he is a one track waffle against a minority – why fuked if I know...crusade against fuk knows what, etc

In essence it was about profile views and email volume.
In essence he said men get little to no email and he is correct.

Now let us cite site where the numbers and ratios are more balanced of a super 8:1 and call it pof....and use me as an example

Now, if I hide all my pictures I get 0-2 views per week.
Depending on which one I use as my main will determine how many views/mails I get and I prefer my ~~shit~~ ordinary pictures. But women do not. So I think he has a valid point....wicked shoe theorem discusses variable galore I can’t be bothered typing it all out.

So I believe it is true – subtract married cheaty men out of the equation and where are we? Evenish or do women win shallow.

And do looks matter? Ive said this time and time again to men/women. Your best relationships/date/sex etc was it with the best looking person you have ever dated or not.

I think looks do matter to most although the logic behind it is wanton/absent i simply do not understand-ayone want to help me out with this one that and I actually think women are the more guilty.

Waves at RM women are rare on this place and women who are actually looking rarer still and the aforementioned are inundated with 1000s of waffle most of it is not good waffle....still even us men like bit of attention-interest now and then
