There's actually quite a bit more to this story than there ever was to that one.
If there was anything to it don't you think it would have come out before the election rather than now that ems are grasping at straws to discredit Trump, and don't pretend nobody knew till now.
Russian oligarchs and klepocrats financing Trump all over the world is hardly grasping at straws. I want a special prosecutor to go after all of it. Those deals are easily established as shell LLC after shell LLC with money from Russia.
I think now the American people know why Trump won't disclose his taxes.
You believe the Russians are dumb enough to invest all that time developing him. Then once they have him in their pocket and about to assume the Presidency they reveal it and waste all that effort. Or how about this idea. They see you and others like you who will believe anything bad about Republicans in general and Trump in particular so they let a false story out which they know you will swallow hook, line, and sinker to try to feed the discord over here.
Of course to accept the later you would have to consider the possibility that Trump isn't the anti Christ.
This is just like the garbage that Bush 41 went to Paris to meet with a Iranian terrorist in Sep of 80. Like Bush could go to Paris in the middle of the campaign and nobody noticed, until they needed an excuse for Carter losing.

First of all this Bayrock and other Russian invovlement (money laundrying...cash for million $ apts at Soho) is years old. (I think Avenue of the Americas too) his was long before Trump was even more than the latest bankruptcy news on the business finance pages.
But there is this and of course the Russians with Putin may have felt that the voters would accept how the right wing has so lowered the bar of political ethics and would accept also, all of the spin on it all...then recall this:

But the most explosive piece of October Surprise evidence is most certainly a Russian intelligence report sent to the Task Force on January 11 1993, just as the investigation was drawing to a close. The six-page document stated that Soviet intelligence knew that Bush, Casey and other US Republicans had met secretly in Europe with Iranian officials in 1980. Congressman Hamilton told Parry that he did not recall Barcella informing him of any Russian report. Several other members of Congress who formed part of the Task Force likewise told Parry they never saw such a report. Barcella did not mention the Russian report at the January 13 1993 press conference in which the Task Force presented its final findings.
Of course not, Reaqan, the repubs and the whole of the 'new' right was in the tank of any kind of corruption starting with Nixon and spreading as in a cancer...with Reagan. Finally leading up trading missiles to Iran for a CIA asset (retired Mar. Col. in Lebanon) I guess there to get 241 Marines killed in their sleep and who was himself...killed anyway.
