Because merely being in possession of a weapon doesn't mean you're using it to perpetrate violence.

Peace and comfort.

Myself I think the pardon should only be used to forgive groups that would help save the union. But I challenge you to go back and find the history of President Bush and his pardons... then tell me if all Republicans should be condemned because of his choices.

Butch

He didn't pardon terrorists like both Obama and Clinton did.
That is not to say that all of Bush's pardons were perfect, but they didn't include revolutionaries.

Oh, W let all sorts of terrorists go to rejoin the jihad. You dont have a TV welfare patient?

The nutsuckers are letting their nutsucker goons and thugs out of prison at alarming rates:

https://www.justice.gov/pardon/clemency-statistics

its how they won so many offices.

bounty44 -> RE: Chelsea Manning's sentence commuted (1/19/2017 7:01:18 AM)

this is absolutely rich.

thankfully, an easy comparison is made by virtue of the last 6 presidents being split between democrat and republican and with each side totaling 20yrs in office.

the democrats gave 1078 pardons and 1266 commutations.

the republicans gave 656 pardons and 27 commutations.

so the democrat presidents are letting criminals out of prison at a rate of ~3.5 times more than republicans.

within the rest of the pardoners-in-chief, Truman (a democrat) was the most prolific.

also within the rest, the democrats' pardons/commutations outnumber the republicans.

go nutsuck/cockgargle/asswipe/toiletlick/masturbate/peener/felchgobble/bathroom on that impotent troll.

WhoreMods -> RE: Chelsea Manning's sentence commuted (1/19/2017 7:12:27 AM)

So was Ford a Democrat, then? The only thing he's remembered for is the most resented pardon of the twentieth century.

Right, you finally get it. It's the person holding the gun that is the deciding factor

Which begs the question, why did they make it an enhanced felony for dealers to posses guns in the first place... Do you think it was because big city Democrats were screaming for more gun control laws perhaps

"House Majority Leader on Manning Clemency: "Wrong Signal at the Worst Possible Time""

quote:

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) weighed in on President Obama pardoning Chelsea Manning, and he's not a fan of the president's actions. In a statement, McCarthy said that commuting Manning's sentence sends "the wrong signal at the worst possible time" and could encourage and embolden other people to leak national security secrets, thinking that there would not be consequences.

quote:

“The decision to pardon Chelsea Manning sends the wrong signal at the worst possible time. Safeguarding our national secrets is a sacred oath, and those who betray that oath should not be rewarded by the Commander in Chief, of all people. This decision—ironic given the recent rhetoric from the Administration—will embolden future leakers who will be led to believe there will not be serious consequences for their actions.”

The majority leader then added that safeguarding America's secrets is an oath that should be taken seriously, and those who violate that oath need to be punished.

Commit treason and as soon as a Democrat (alt left) president comes along you get a get-out-of-jail-free card

Nelson Mandela: CIA tip-off led to 1962 Durban arrest...any of you lot catching these files?

Nelson Mandela's arrest in 1962 came as a result of a tip-off from an agent of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), a report says.

It may have been a wrong signal... but it was most certainly the best and only time.

Musicmystery -> RE: Chelsea Manning's sentence commuted (1/26/2017 7:22:52 AM)

Trump criticized Manning in a tweet for calling Obama a "weak leader."

She didn't say that -- she said we need a progressive leader, not a compromise.

But interesting to see Trump defending Obama.
