According to the headline and BoscoX's assertion (I've no interest in reading the story), CNN did NOT suggest killing Trump. You are correct in that.

However, if the right gets railed at for stuff like this as a call for violence:


Wouldn't it be just as accurate to say that CNN was calling for violence against Trump? It can't be one way for one group and a different way for a different group.

And, I have no interest in reading the story, because I don't think CNN was calling for violence against Trump, just like Palin wasn't calling for violence with her "target map."

Why would CNN run a story about how (they believe) that if Trump (and presumably Prince) were murdered then the election would be set aside and the Dems would still have the WH. This isn't a call to commit violence, but with the number of people proclaiming how much better off the country would be if Trump, but it is irresponsible.

1. There was no link ever proven.
2. Perhaps she was being sensitive to the moment? If she wanted it to happen, wouldn't she have updated the map with "1 down, 19 to go!" or some other "scoring?"



Palin's map had nothing to do with Giffords being shot. Loughner's psychiatric health had everything to do with the actions he took.
