Status: offline 		President Donald Trump has accused the media of dishonesty over the number of people attending his inauguration.

Mr Trump was speaking after photographs were published appearing to show more people attended the inauguration of his predecessor Barack Obama in 2009.

Mr Trump's press secretary said it had been "the largest audience to ever see an inauguration" even though figures he cited add up to under 750,000 people.

He said the new US administration would hold the media accountable.

Seems conclusive to me and then some. Then the deranged deluded dim wit goes on TV and says his crowd was bigger. What exactly does that say about the man deluded president when he cannot actually separate reality from lala land --> looking good America.

In fact, there were 782,000 tickets that year day, but 571,000 this year day, the Washington-area transit authority says.
Mr Spicer also said that plastic sheets had been used for the first time to cover the grass which "had the effect of highlighting areas people were not standing whereas in years past the grass eliminated this visual". In fact, the grass was also covered in 2013.

Yeah, they're pushing this one too far. The on-site crowd simply didn't equal Obama's second inaugural. But regarding the level of interest in Trump's inauguration more generally...

I will tell you why the TV ratings were so high.

Thats the first one I ever watched I actually wanted to see if they would swear in a complete lying rat bastard of a monster....I actually thought Aliens were going to land...and say nah! - anyone else - come on be honest?

Status: offline 		So when Obama was in office 8 years or something (ors it 10) no matter - what did the Republican controlled Senate and Republican controlled House Representatives allow him to pass v block?

Personally I think he lied all the way through his campaign. But fek hes in office he should have said we had a wonderful turn out. And no it wasn't, quite, as busy as eg Obama but it was still wonderful and great to see them all.

But he lied as did his press spokesman. The greater worry is if the two believed their lies to be true - I think Trump does and that should worry everyone.

I thought the same thing, that without a time stamp there is no way to accurate way compare the two photos.
