In the 2008 meltdown that he inherited, he saved America from crashing into a deep recession.

Everyone was foretelling doom and gloom and a recession worse than the 20's and 30's.
He dragged the US economy from the brink of failure into a growing one despite the noises of the GOP.
He approved a ginormous bail-out for the automotive industry to keep them going, against popular opinion.
GM has not only survived on the back of that, they've paid back the money and turned a profit.
Maybe the ACA is crap; but people have cover for pre-existing conditions that they've not had until now.
Millions more now have health cover that didn't before Obama.
He got Bin Laden.
He brought huge numbers of troops home like he promised.

Sure, he did some things that people didn't like.
But every president has done that for centuries.
And he's not popular with those on the right.
But he didn't ruin America.

After repeatedly promising to release his tax returns, Donald Trump has definitively reneged on that commitment. "He's not going to release his tax returns," presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway said in an interview on ABC's This Week yesterday. "We litigated this all through the election. People didn't care. They voted for him."

President Trump has no legal obligation to let Americans see his tax returns, but in refusing to do so before the election he broke with the practice of every major-party presidential nominee since 1980. Now he has abandoned any pretense of sticking to the promises he made on this subject while running for president.

Neither did a lot of other people - both inside and outside of the US.
They voted for something different, not for what he stood for.
