CREW says Trump's business properties abroad operate based partly on goodwill from foreign governments and regulators, but that under the US Constitution no federal official can receive a gift or "emolument" from a foreign government.

"Now that he has been sworn into office as the 45th president of the United States, those business interests are creating countless conflicts of interest, as well as unprecedented influence by foreign governments," it added.

The story is dated January 23.

Trump's lawyer Sheri Dillon said January 11 that Trump would donate all proceeds from any foreign officials to his hotels to the US Treasury

Ergo, he won't be receiving any gifts or emoluments from foreign governments via his businesses.

K.

Just as a matter of semantics, K, surely, for someone to 'donate' a gift or proceeds they must have received them in the first place to be able to make the donation???

I'm sure some lawyers would make a meal of that in a court somewhere.
Maybe that's the angle they're coming from.

and all he does is act as a pass through zero profit broker and the case gets thrown out

Is Trump going to serve his own business interests or the best interests of the country when those two are in conflict?

Well according to your source, he's turned over the running of the Trump Organization to his sons. So where's the conflict?

K.

He's still the owner/beneficiary.

I'd agree but then what about other prezzies with stock investments etc?

Those were in every case put into a blind trust, the president had no idea what was in his portfolio. Not the same deal at all, Trump knows he owns Trump.

Mexico opposition leader urges UN lawsuit over Trump wall

"I respectfully suggest that the government of Mexico presents a lawsuit at the United Nations against the US government for violation of human rights and racial discrimination," Lopez Obrador told a crowd of supporters north of Mexico City.

A former mayor of the capital, Lopez Obrador has led several early opinion polls ahead of the July 2018 election, and last week he announced plans for a tour of major US cities in February to drum up support among Mexican-Americans.

Nicknamed AMLO for his initials, Lopez Obrador has urged Mexicans to resist the policies of Trump, who stirred up widespread anger with a presidential campaign targeting Mexican migrants and laced with threats against the country's economy.

Yeah... Interesting that people can be such hypocrites and such massive idiots [:D]

Mexico has tougher immigration laws than we ever did or ever will have

And... What a surprise (not). Mexican nationals, interfering with American politics with the blessing of Democrat hypocrites such as yourself

Among the things a pissed off Mexico could do is simply stop co-operating on immigration, just let immigrants move right on through.
