Trump's voter fraud lies: The damage they do

First, Trump's press secretary, Sean Spicer, misrepresented how many people watched Trump's inauguration, saying it was the largest crowd ever to witness the swearing-in of a new president, despite clear photographic evidence to the contrary.

Then, Trump said there were 3 to 5 million illegal votes in the election, costing him the popular vote. Spicer doubled down on this lie in his press briefing, citing debunked theories about voter fraud.

The first falsehood, on the crowd size, is no big deal in the grand scheme of things, beyond undermining Spicer's credibility. The second lie, on voter fraud, exhibits a disturbing pattern and also lays the groundwork for an assault on voting rights.

It was Hillary Clinton who said, if you refuse to respect the results of the election, you are a direct threat to our democracy.

She was talking about the actual facts, not the bizarro world of "alternative facts."

I still laugh every time I see that. "Alternative facts." Geez.

Face it man you live in the over the edge twilight zone.

Hacker demonstrates how voting machines can be compromised

“I voted a straight Republican ticket and as I scrolled to submit my ballot I noticed that the Republican Straight ticket was highlighted, however, the clinton/kaine box was also highlighted! I tried to go back and change and could not get it to work. I asked for help from one of the workers and she couldn’t get it to go back either, ” wrote Lisa Houlette. However, election officials in Texas say this problem was likely due to “voter error” — not any kind of rigging.

Volusia County Memos Disclose Election 2000 Vote Fraud

"DELAND, Fla., Nov. 11 - Something very strange happened on election night to Deborah Tannenbaum, a Democratic Party official in Volusia County. At 10 p.m., she called the county elections department and learned that Al Gore was leading George W. Bush 83,000 votes to 62,000. But when she checked the county's Web site for an update half an hour later, she found a startling development: Gore's count had dropped by 16,000 votes, while an obscure Socialist candidate had picked up 10,000--all because of a single precinct with only 600 voters."

electronic voting machines are easily hackable, about 10 seconds is all it takes, one machine form florida in 2000 counted negative votes. I guess that was from negative people?

Actually, you've just highlighted WHY this is a problem.

We're dancing with the loss of democracy. There's no magic shield protecting us.

Did you have any issue with this back in 2000, or is it only a thing now that il duce has been pissing and moaning about not winning the popular vote since November?
