No rest for the leftists - President Trump has made his Supreme court pick:

"He has grabbed every brass ring," said David Lat, managing editor of the legal website Above the Law. "He's brilliant, conservative and impossible to oppose. That's a deadly combination for Democrats."

Nnanji -> RE: Keep your rioting shoes on... (1/31/2017 5:51:17 PM)

Naa, Chucky Shumer has them all rialed up over the visa thing. That was done intentionally so he could use the ongoing snowflake hurt anger here.

bounty44 -> RE: Keep your rioting shoes on... (1/31/2017 6:33:21 PM)

there was some talk recently about justice kennedy retiring. so the possibility of a second pick might appear also. and one cant help but wonder how long Ginsburg can hang around.

mnottertail -> RE: Keep your rioting shoes on... (1/31/2017 6:40:13 PM)

The number of cases the nutsucker Il Douche has generated, that is gonna be one busy nutsucker.

BoscoX -> RE: Keep your rioting shoes on... (1/31/2017 6:47:36 PM)

Kennedy is 80, sometimes votes with the Dems against the Constitution... He would be a good one for President Trump to replace. Ginsberg is 83, crazy far left loon, may have no choice in the matter. Stephen Breyer, a Clinton man, is 78...

jlf1961 -> RE: Keep your rioting shoes on... (1/31/2017 6:53:25 PM)

I dont care who he selects, as long as the Constitution is the first consideration and politics the second.

bounty44 -> RE: Keep your rioting shoes on... (1/31/2017 6:59:57 PM)

really? which one? the living breathing document that evolves with the times or the originalist one?

or maybe the one where the general welfare clause gives one particular side of congress to continue to grow government?

Yeah, it's a lifetime appointment, but that lady appears to be decomposing on the bench.

I am going to go with the Constitution that says that the 2nd amendment was not limited to flintlocks.

The constitution that says the freedom of speech is everything (including burning the flag as stupid as that is) that does not incite violence or systematic discrimination.

The constitution that, under the 10th amendment, gives the states the right to tell the federal government to fuck off.

The constitution that gives the right for someone to worship the flying spaghetti monster and wear a colander on his head for his driver's license photo (yes it was a real court case, and the idiot won.)

And hopefully one that in the near future means that when I buy 4000 pounds of ammonia nitrate fertilizer and 3000 gallons of diesel fuel I wont have some ATF asshat showing up on my place demanding that I prove I am using it for agriculture.

So I guess it would be the living, breathing evolving document that I swore to protect when I joined the army.

Not the one that both the extreme right and extreme left seem hell bent on twisting to mean shit that aint even part of the problem.

And, this is going to piss some people off, one that will hopefully eliminate the need for me to press 1 for English every fucking time I call a government office. In my opinion, it should be, press 1 for some other language, and then continue in English.

If it wasnt for the living breathing general welfare clause the southern states would be our slaves.
If we are speaking of the original intent of the constitution, and want to freeze it there, get rid of the standing army and all its accoutrements.

Disband the military, and part out the corporations, Neither were intended.

"Gorsuch's Liberal Colleagues and Students Love Him"

(oh no comrades, town hall!)

quote:

In addition to being a federal appeals court judge in Denver, Colo., Neil Gorsuch is also an adjunct law professor at the ultra-liberal University of Colorado. But what his peers, colleagues, and students have to say about him is far different than how some Democrats are portraying him.

quote:

“I found him to be a person of character and quality, intellectually curious and willing to debate all sides,” offered Jordan Henry, a CU law student and staunch liberal. “I think he’s dedicated to the truth, to justice, to the justice system.

“I may not always agree with him but I do think he gives all voices a fair hearing, and that’s all you can ask of a judge,” Henry said.

CU Law graduate Savannah Schaefer, who grew up with a Democrat mom and Republican dad, called Gorsch “a phenomenal guy and just brilliant. I think he’d be a gift, in some ways, if we got him nominated.”

“He acts and relates well to all people, and he did the same sort of thing in trial, where he was very good at making connections with jurors,” said attorney Mark Hansen, Gorsuch’s first boss, at the Washington, D.C., firm Kellogg, Huber, Hansen, Todd, Evans and Figel. “He’s a regular person. It’s part of being a Westerner.”

Brilliant, thoughtful, charming. But to some Beltway liberals, he’s an “illegitimate and extreme nominee” who has a “deep sympathy for corporate interests and an apparent disdain for workers.”

by contrast, as you might imagine (and do we need even more evidence of that liberals are from a different planet?)

"Here Are The Members Of Congress Saying They Won't Support Gorsuch"

I encourage my Senate colleagues to give Neil Gorsuch the same courtesy Senate Republicans gave Merrick Garland. #SCOTUS

Neil Gorsuch's attacks on women and our access to healthcare makes him unqualified for the SCOTUS. Time to #ConfirmGarland. #StolenSeat

by the way everyone---I looked all the way through my anatomy and physiology, nutrition, exercise physiology, and health texts and simply cannot find anything that points to a relationship between osteoporosis and falling asleep in the middle of something.

maybe it'll be in subsequent editions?
