Community and Courage. Traits sorely lacking on this forum.

it seems one of my recent response-phrases to you collectivist is "pompous ass."

you have absolutely, emphasize absolutely, no idea what people do with their time, dollars or prayers outside of this site.

What makes you think I give a shit what people do outside this forum?

I specifically addressed people and their comments in this forum. Having trouble with reading comprehension, are you? Idiot.

having trouble with your own reading comprehension? the very point being that you cannot tell what people do with their time, dollars or prayers outside of this site as a result of only seeing their comments on this forum so you have no material with which to comment on their [apparent lack of] courage or sense of community.

additionally its not something that's displayed here in writing not because it doesn't exist, but because it cannot exist in that way or at the very least, in a way that a collectivist would recognize it.

got it now?? again, pompous ass.

The point is that cowardliness displayed on this forum is proper subject for criticism. Your attempt to take my comments into the sphere of private lives is just a simpering attempt at distraction because you recognize there is no defense for the whiny, puke-inducing fear mongering displayed here.

There is nothing collectivist about the time honored, small town, agrarian values of community, compassion and courage that have kept America a desired destination for the world's emigres, who in turn have enriched our arts and commerce.

We have recently passed a milestone anniversary of the date when America to its shame turned away the good ship St Louis and sent its Jewish passengers back to their deaths in the Nazi gas chambers. We need not repeat the error.

So, thank you for the opportunity for me to once again express my contempt for the cowardliness of those here in this forum who are wussies and pussies regarding the refugee question.

Since it has become fashionable in this forum to end a post with a personal insult let me add You are an IDIOT cry baby.

I have found that people who do a lot of talking about how much they care about people would be the last person you could count on to help out if you needed them. Contrarily, those who don't talk so much are there when you need them.

Well, I certainly would not count on you for help were I in distress, 'fraidy girl, so filled with fear and hate.

Keep raging, vincent.

quote:

The Party of Outrage

Democrats can barely keep up with their problems with Trump, raising some to wonder if their perpetual opposition is undermining a more focused message.

http://www.usnews.com/news/politics/articles/2017-02-02/democrats-permanent-outrage-at-donald-trump

In the frenzied opening days of the rebellious Trump era, top leaders in the Democratic Party have taken a posture of relentless, immovable, caustic opposition – assailing the commander in chief at every turn and often employing extreme rhetoric to punctuate its impact. It is a cold-blooded approach that's required for this precarious moment, they say, given the severe changes Trump is attempting on everything from how the U.S. should deliver health care to who should be allowed to become an American citizen.

But there's a risk in outright, perpetual obstruction as well and it's simmering below the surface in conversations between Democratic lawmakers, leaders and strategists as the party debates the most effective path forward: If Democrats protest everything with hair-on-fire outrage, will anything end up sticking with the American public beyond their infinite indignity? If they cry wolf every 12 hours, will the effect of their urgency wane over time? Instead of presenting an alternative vision, will they end up looking simply like a party of outrage?

Ah, but I have indeed presented an alternate vision Bosco.

The time honored American values of community, compassion, and courage have attracted the world's emigres to our shores, and our arts and commerce have been enriched by their arrivals; let us not repeat the shameful event of turning away the Jews on the ship St. Louis. Refugees are a special people to America. Lest we forget.

as far as "an attempt at a distraction?" right---whats the more likely, that I am indeed doing that, or that im interpreting your somewhat ambiguous language in a way you originally didn't mean it?

great, so youre not talking about peoples lives outside of the forum; then you are talking about people inside the forum, and so i'll try one more time and we'll see if it can get through---"cowardliness" and "sense of community" are not things that appear in writing on a forum.

you want to believe and act like they do so you can criticize those who have different values than you as lacking virtue. pompous: full of ostentatious dignity. ass: a person behaving stupidly.

alternatively, if bravery and sense of community were something that could be recognized in writing here, you wouldn't recognize it because of what I just said in the sentence above.

We see his people's sense of community, masked zealots burning down their own campus or neighborhood if someone they disagree with is scheduled to speak there or if a thugs chickens come home to roost in a confrontation with the police

That's their idea of community, compassion, and courage

Looting, rioting, supporting a death and rape cult that still supports slavery

Sez you. They are readily inferred. The positions are clearly stated: unabashed, nonsensical, hysterical fear of imagined impending danger. Keep them out! Keep them out! How else would you interpret that? Oh, puhleez!

Yup, rioting on campus to abridge free speech is definitely a violation of American principals but it does not wipe those principals from our history.

I don't see who is looting and rioting to support a "death and rape cult" other than what plays in your imagination.

Already did support the facts I stated, you're just too slow and stupid to catch it. Not my problem, either
