Look, according to Berke Breathed, his brain was scooped out by the citizens of Pluto and now he is being remotely controlled by them.
Which, makes sense because one minute he actually makes a bit of sense, and the next minute he is mad as a hatter (the madness of which actually had to do with the old technique of using mercury in the making of men's hats.)
But then, there are some right wing conspiracy nuts that are now claiming he is actually a high ranking member of the Illuminati.
And surprisingly enough, there are the following
1) Trump is planning a secret coup (story here
2) Of course this could be all part of this
But most amusing is that for the first time in a long time, some extreme left wingers and extreme right wingers are actually agreeing that Trump is up to no good.
However, I have a different theory.
In his defense, he is actually trying to run the country in much the same way as he ran his businesses, which means that he comes up with an idea and acts on it without talking to his advisors.
Now, on one hand, running a super power in this manner is not the wisest way to do so, but it may work.
Or
We may find ourselves involved in a war with Mexico, Australia (who like the Brits, tend not to like having someone being rude to them,) Iran, and a few other countries.
Which may or may not be a bad thing. Lets face reality here, in times of war, the US Economy tends to explode in rapid growth which drives inflation down and wages up.
But for this to work (if it is indeed his plan) he will have to reinstate the draft, which would give us a Vietnam/ mid cold war economy, a renewal of the "hippie" movement (the protests at Berkley hint that it is ready and just needs a final push.)
So, then we would have a great economy making bombs, bullets, tie dyed shirts, funky striped bell bottom pants, and hopefully a resurgence of the micro mini skirt (long absent from our streets) which Trump would undoubtedly make mandatory for all women to wear, which means that we may end up seeing Rosy O'Donnell and Roseane Barr in micro mini skirts (okay guys and gals, try to burn that image out of your brains.)
However, the really interesting thing I have noticed, is that many of his statements about the press, liberals, etc are reminescent of a President that I remember growing up....
One Richard M. Nixon, who strangely enough once threatened to cut off federal funding to a certain University in Oakland California that was recently in the news.
