It seems this attack did in fact occur, in this alternative universe.

Evidence suggests that the two individuals in question used spells from the Necronomicon to create the explosives, since the planetary alignment was not right for summoning any of the dark gods, although it was alright for summoning John Candy from back from the dead.

I used a spear and jackson shovel to dig it up. I wasn't welcome in the village pub for months, and the local Masons blackballed me over it as well. Not worth the trouble.

Well, to be honest, some years ago, I got stuck escorting a load of material that was destined for the Savannah River Nuclear facility, and due to bad weather, and the lack of flexibility on the part of the Energy Department Transportation office, Me, 12 armed security personnel and a truck with Radioactive Material placards all over got stuck in Bowling Green Ky.

Now, to be honest, there really isnt anything to do in that town, so why two Iraqis with terrorist connections were even there is beyond me.

So for kicks, we would pull out a couple of Geiger counters and scan people that got too close to the truck, or walk through dining room with them clicking away on test mode.

Now the kicker is that in a 53 foot trailer there were two boxes weighing about 200 pounds containing the isotope that is used in the xray machines to take pictures of pipe wields.

The actual danger, even if the boxes broke open was minimal.

But sometimes I wonder just how long it took that town to recover their sense of humor after we left.

Oh, the reason we got stuck there, a 'snow storm' that dropped about 6 inches of snow total (predictions called for over a foot of snowfall) which, due to the predicted accumulation, put the move outside 'safe travel conditions.'

Dude, you scan a few rednecks in bowling green and make the announcement "You probably still can father children" they tend to freak out.

And this was back in the 80's.

We got the idea from a couple of Energy department techs who basically did the same thing near where the Three Mile Island nuclear plant was located when they had the accident, sorry incident.

The fun trips were the ones that went to navy bases where the Nuclear powered ships were based, or the weapon assembly plant in Amarillo TX.

After a year of being on transport security, I opted to go back to site security, less stress.

You know, if the citizens of the United States knew how often high yield nuclear material passed through some of their towns, they would move to Great Britain, or France, or Germany or Nepal.

And thanks to some of the laws and regs passed after 9/11, those trucks are not always marked.
