What I love is, main stream media would be all over this, IF this was Trump who said this.

But because it's a Dem Congresswoman.

*Crickets*

Waters began by appearing to briefly channel Gary Johnson, asking how Trump could embrace Putin “knowing that he is responsible for supplying the bombs that killed innocent children and families in, um, in um….”

“Aleppo,” suggested someone off-stage.

“Yeah, in Aleppo,” she confirmed. “And the fact that he is wrapping his arms around Putin while Putin is continuing to advance into Korea.

Yeah, except in this case it's an obvious slip as opposed to a lie-- Putin actually did invade Crimea and supply bombs that killed innocent children, and I'm pretty much certain he also supplied the chemical weapons that everyone was so upset about but has since completely forgotten.

So yeah, the two words sound similar and she made a mistake, but everyone knows what she meant.
You can mock her all you like, but there is nothing sinister here.

Compare that to the Bowling Green Massacre comment:

quote:

“I bet it’s brand-new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized, and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre,” Conway told Matthews. “Most people don’t know that because it didn’t get covered.”

This is just pure fantasy, and it is being used to justify a Muslim ban and undermine the credibility of the media.

What's the average age of a Democrat in Congress now, 86 or some fucking thing

Reached that magical age they can all hide their own Easter eggs

This is so bias.

You can't insist Kellyanne Conway intentionally said "massacre" and then claim it's just an obvious slip for this woman.

She was waiting for a moonless night at bowling green.

from this right leaning source, he went into yemen, because Obama wouldnt have...
LMAO this means that Obama was afraid to get unnecessary people killed
trump goes in almost on a dare
that backfired a little bit eh

New York Daily News(right wing source....lol)
http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/trump-launched-yemen-raid-told-obama-wouldn-article-1.2966736?cid=bitly

President Trump was convinced to launch a “botched” counterterrorism raid in Yemen after being told that the Obama administration would have never attempted one, according to a report.

Planning for the mission — which resulted in the death of Navy SEAL William Owens — stretched from last year, but was approved by Trump as his first major military operation.

Defense Secretary James Mattis and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Joseph Dunford told the President that capturing the raid’s intended target would be a “game changer,” an anonymous official told NBC News.

Trump’s military advisers added that the previous leadership would not have been "bold enough" to launch it, the network said.

Questions about the rationale for the operation, which reportedly killed civilians, wounded three Americans and resulted in the loss of a $75 million helicopter, come as the Defense Department denied that it was aimed at a high-ranking terrorist.

As a result, Yemen rescinded its permissions to allow the U.S. to run Special Operations ground missions to chase down the nation’s terrorists, the New York Times reported on Tuesday night.

Navy Capt. John Davis also aid Tuesday that there was “never any intention, hope, anticipation, or plan” that Al Qaeda leader Qassim al-Rimi would be captured or killed in the raid.

Greta, once is a slip of the tongue, but she said the same thing three times in 3 (THREE) different interviews, on MSNBC, COSMOPOLITAN MAGAZINE and TMZ.

Now, either she is lying OR she has alzheimers, or she was speaking from prepared notes, which if that was the case, she should have checked the damn things.

Now, considering that you have already proven that facts mean less to you than getting laid, none of the truth matters.

Not that I would ever expect you to get it with your less-than-perfect English, but it's not bias-- look at the context.

“I bet it’s brand-new information to people that President Obama had a six-month ban on the Iraqi refugee program after two Iraqis came here to this country, were radicalized, and they were the masterminds behind the Bowling Green massacre,”

So exactly what word fits here instead so that the statement is grammatically correct and has her so-called intended meaning? She has already mentioned the two radicalized Iraqis in the statement, so she couldn't have meant to say 'Bowling Green Terrorists' like she claimed. So what did she mean to say here?

It's not a slip of the tongue.

Oh, and that's not even counting the fact that she it three times.

Now let's look at Waters' statement:

quote:

And the fact that he is wrapping his arms around Putin while Putin is continuing to advance into Korea.

Replace Korea with Crimea and there you go, it's a statement about an issue that has been in the news for months. She's not even saying anything that the media hasn't been saying over and over. Putin DID advance into Crimea... nobody thinks he invaded Korea.

But of course you can just ignore what I'm saying and then edit my comment so it says whatever you want it to say.

Greta75 -> RE: Putin is invading Korea (2/8/2017 4:50:10 PM)

The fact that, there was no "bowling green masscre" just like "Putin is not invading Korea", is obvious that BOTH Women have the same situation.

Both got their facts and information wrong equally.

There was no massacre AT ALL carried out by the two terrorists in question, while Putin DID carry out an invasion-- not of Korea, but of an area of the Ukraine with a very similar-sounding name. Do you seriously think that anyone who heard Waters speak thought 'OMG HE INVADED KOREA?!'??? NO, they thought 'she must mean Crimea'.

If you were capable of being honest with yourself, you would know that Waters made an innocent mistake... and it's really regrettable because it means RWNJs get to pretend it's the same thing as alternative facts.

Nonsense. Or perhaps "alternative logic"?

"Crimea" and "Korea" have a tonal similarity not shared by "massacre" and "terrorist."

And, as has been noted several times, Conway shared her alternative fact in three different interviews, so it clearly wasn't a one-time slip of the tongue.

Greta75 -> RE: Putin is invading Korea (2/8/2017 8:44:50 PM)

Crimea and Korea has no tonal similarity at all!

Why the hell would Russia invade Korea at all to start of with!! Korea is no where near Russia. There are barely any Russians in Korea. Historically, like, no relations.

Crimea is filled with majority Russians and USED to be part of Russia, taken over by Ukraine. And majority being Russians wanted to be back with Russia. Korea is like TOTALLY OUT THERE! Ukraine refuses to allow them to go back to Russia. This would be more like, what if one day one of the Irelands wanna leave UK to join as one country with the other Ireland, and UK says, NO FUCKING WAY!

She was just thinking Russians are such "evil terrorists" that they even wanna invade innocent Korea! I think that was the point she was trying to make. Except she was misinformed that Korea is one of the countries that Russia was "trying to invade".

Like Korea and Crimea are like totally NOTHING in common! Even the people look different! Geographically, EVERYTHING! Is like NOTHING, no similarities.

Terrorists loves Massacres. And these Bowling Green Terrorists were supporting ISIS who have been committing Massacres where-ever they have the opportunities to do so.

My definition of a terrorists too is anybody supporting ISIS. I don't know how it works in the US, over here, supporting ISIS is against the law and jailable offense. Even verbally offering your support of them is criminal.

So those bowling green guys aided terrorism, indirectly caused massacres or perhaps even directly since they were ISIS ground soldiers too who have participated in armed war fare in the middle east. Just that the massacres didn't occur specifically within bowling green location.

heavyblinker -> RE: Putin is invading Korea (2/8/2017 10:10:08 PM)

I guess the only question that remains is whether Russia was going to invade North Korea or South Korea.
I say South because the Americans are there and they want to start WWIII for no reason even though Trump is Putin's scat slave.

WickedsDesire -> RE: Putin is invading Korea (2/8/2017 11:45:02 PM)

President hairy boy utter nutter has been on the record last year as saying Russia isn't going into the Ukraine, 2 years after they annexed Crimea.

I totally believe him...what? no! i dont want my medicine now

Termyn8or -> RE: Putin is invading Korea (2/9/2017 3:56:35 PM)

Nobody invaded Crimea anyway, this whole thread is a bust.
