I'm not sure how that applies in this case, since the scholarship is paid for by a private donor.

If any field is dominated by a particular gender or race, then there should be an explanation of why. Access to the necessary college programs and scholarship funding may very well be an issue. Or maybe chicks get high and watch Doc McStuffins the way guys do with Bob's Burgers. Who the hell knows. It's Australia.


Professional football and basketball are dominated by blacks in far excess of their population percentage in the USA. Shall we do a government study on why this is?

i dont disagree with your first sentence. my reply to ken was meant to the concept of affirmative action/quotas in general.

as for the second sentence, i'll agree up until the point of seeking understanding, and then if any redress is desired, as you might guess coming from me, it shouldn't be done through government force.
