I have first hand experience with this project in AZ. It is a good program with a pretty good outcome. Turns at risk youth around about 80% of the time. My job was that of a mentor. My young man now works at the airport in maintenance of aircraft components for commercial airliners. Before Project Challenge he was headed to jail.
Then why criticize a tax meant to fund it? It is your thread, after all.
Mostly cause I think the tax on coffee is silly. I see no corellation between Project Challenge and coffee. I wouldn't like it but could understand it if they chose a weapon to tax (knives, guns, ammo, etc). It essentially becomes a sin tax for coffee drinkers.

I just think it is another crazy tax from our friends on the left coast. I seriously doubt it will be passed. I do think that if they have a Coffee Party and go pouring coffee into the river (Salem isn't on the ocean) we should all run down real quick and heat up the river water for a good brew. LOL

You seem to be against a tax on coffee.
Let me guess... you do not use marijuana but you do use coffee,,,(both of which are psychoactive drugs).

Actually I am anti-marijuana because it is still illegal. I am also anti-alcohol and other things tthat are legal but that is my problem. But if they persist in selling it anyway, then sure tax the crap out of it. I could care. Would say 10,000% work for you. would for me :D
