ORIGINAL: MasterJaguar01 Yes, I get the appeal of Trump. (He told the PC crowd to f**k off). He is going to make great changes that no one else can accomplish. Yes, I understand the media, and the polls were wrong. Yes, some of the rhetoric from the left is over the top. Agreed on all those points. Are you able to see the massive media bias though? The "over the top rhetoric" is coming from the top down, not the bottom up. Can you see through the media campaign to destroy this presidency? Or are you buying into the false narrative. Any Republican if elected president, unless an Obama clone or a Hillary clone who out liberaled the liberals, made it mandatory for everyone to have gay sex with children or whatever, was going to be Hitler. Every one, would get all kinds of dirt thrown at him. Do you think Ted Cruz would get a pass? Or Jeb Bush? Accomplishments would be ignored or minimized, misstatements would be headline news, and every negative issue (real or imagined) blown way out of proportion. quote:
Politics aside... It really appears that he is in over his head. Even his GOOD ideas (infrastructure, negotiating drug prices, and saving Medicare for those of us who have been paying into it all of our lives have all gone to shit) He is three weeks in! None of that has been finally decided. It all has to go through Congress. Even if so, I don't expect to get everything that I want from any president, even this one. Do you think you would have got everything you wanted with Hillary, or Bernie, or anyone else? Did you get everything you wanted from Barack Obama? Selling military-grade weapons to Mexican drug lords, ignore a dying ambassador etc? Why does President Trump have to be perfect, especially since he doesn't get the embarrassingly fawning coverage that Obama and Hillary got quote:
I am happy he is talking about illegal immigration, and quite frankly to see him cracking down on violent illegal aliens (yes, they are illegal aliens, not simply "undocumented") However, he is signing things and executing orders on which the impact he has no understanding. He has no idea what he is doing. I disgree with the 9th circuit that his immigration plan is unconstitutional. However the plan is simply horrible policy which makes us less safe, (and hurts the economy of my state). He is going to make some mistakes, but it is far from the end of the world. How hard were Hillary and Obama hammered for their handling of Middle East issues. They left the place on fire, and the coverage has never been realistic. Their work to overthrow ME leaders, thus creating power vacuums then all but ignoring ISIS and Huma Abedin's pet Muslim Brotherhood and other jihadis as they filled those vacuums... Ignored. WTF! Seriously - whose side were we on. What has President Trump done that rises to the level of any of that. quote:
He has filled his cabinet with champions of every REALLY BAD Republican idea. The three "Good" ideas that he had have all turned to shit. The Infrastructure Plan - turns out to be tax breaks for private corporations to privatize infrastructure and charge tolls to the public Negotiating drug prices - Turned out not to be negotiating drug prices, or actually utilize the FREE market. Instead, it is an idea to remove the required FDA testing for effectiveness, so that drug companies can lower their cost and out of their sheer good-heartedness, pass the savings on to consumers. Saving Medicare? - Nahh... Changed his mind Three weeks in, no cabinet to speak of, still getting organized. Give him a chance. At least he isn't Hillary, opening the border even more than Obama did and resettling Huma's jihadi friends in your back yard. quote:
He has no understanding of the healthcare market , Did Obama? Obamacare (to me) was all about forcing people to pay his lobbyist friends piles of money, forcing more of that old time crony communism on us. How is it working out btw And again, three weeks in. quote:
no understanding of why Obamacare failed to lower costs, no understanding of what can be done to lower costs in the future, no idea how to provide better options in healthcare. He hires Tom Price, the KING of the stupidist ideas on health care. His idea is to give everybody a $1200 tax credit to buy private insurance. (Which, in the healthcare market is enough to wipe your ass with). Yet, because it is a GREAT soundbite for his base... His index finger goes up and he says "We are going to repeal Obamacare" Try to remember to breathe - he hasn't even warmed up his office chair yet quote:
My mother thinks he walks on water, and said "Well he is inexperienced, but he will surround himself with great people." She sounds like a real nice woman, just like my own mom. I can see why you turned out half way reasonable now despite the "liberal" school system and media complex. Hopefully I can meet her some time and pay her some due respect quote:
It turns out...He is inexperienced, and has surrounded himself with the absolutely most incompetent people around. I had had high hopes for him (not high expectations) myself. The bottom line... No, you should not be angry with him, if he is doing what you voted for him to do. But you SHOULD realize, at this point, he is failing badly, and not dismiss any criticism of him as "Alt Left", "Hysteria", or "Fake News" He is not failing badly, that is your opinion- heavily influenced by propaganda, in my opinion. Many of the president's implementation issues can be traced back to the Dems (being the party of no) holding up his picks in Congress. Which that's their prerogative, but it isn't all on the president that things are a bit bumpy. That's a huge part of the Dem plan, hobbling the staff of the nation's military commander. They want him to have problems, even massive disasters that get people hurt. That is their goal. They have been hurting innocent people themselves directly, committing assault etc but to practically nonexistent media coverage. Had the TEA party done that to Obama supporters, imagine the headline rage And while you say he is in over his head (due in large part to lack of staff) there's another side to that. The bright side - he is not a career politician like everybody else. Everybody else makes promises, like on immigration, the deficit, etc - then fail to deliver. That's why he ran, and that's why he won. Did you see Hillary as honest, or having our best interests at heart? Donald Trump isn't perfect, but I really believe that he is in this for the right reasons. After the left tires of screaming "NAZI" and he starts to get comfortable and a sense of the position he may do pretty good. The media will never admit it though, just like they only cover and magnify and even invent mistakes now. Cover Soros-paid, bused-in rioters as if the president is burning their children. Ignoring the organization behind them and really pretending they are true grass roots events
