Well, speaking of fucking idiots, nutsucker, what solutions are the nutsuckers planning for the VA because they really havent done shit in all the years they been in the majority down there, in fact, they have left the veterans dying and living in the streets.

How much help do nutsuckers need to kill our veterans, anyway?

Stop pretending that you really care about solutions when all you really care about is scoring political points.

Quite. They should get themselves killed properly, instead of coming back disabled and being a burden on society.
This explains why the GOP treat McCain so shabbily as well.

Jul 19, 2015 ... “He's not a war hero,” said Trump. “He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured.”

Not a whole lot different than stalin's attitude towards those who were capturted.

It would be nice to see some of these people gave a shit about homeless vets and suicides by vets...and vets and their fgamilies having to use SNAP
not even looking into the "issue"
Being sceptical is one thing, the vets are hurting, and all they can do is be sceptical about the numbers and waste when the vets need help NOW

Heinlein had it right with his idea, if you do not pull at least a minimum of 4 years military service, even if you are only fit for peeling potatoes 8 hours a day, then you should not have the right to vote, hold public office or the rights of a full citizen.

OK, thanks for this, jif.

I'm not sure compulsory service would solve the problem -- that would mean universal health care, and look at the continuing fanatic resistance to that.

So how do we get to something that works?

The crux of hineline statement was that those who have been shot at have a better understanding of the consequences of declaring war on someone and would be less likely to to vote for war.
On the other hand we have had a succession of chairborn rangers opting to put a target on someone elses chest.

42k seems like an awfully large number of openings to have, doesn't it?

Yes it is.Are you too stupid too check out it's validity?

The 150 VA hospitals employ 210k people, and they still have 42k not employed?

That's an average of almost 1700 employees/hospital.

Why do you just accept that they are understaffed by 42k?

If you dispute the figure then show your proof ,otherwise you are just talking out of your ass as usual.

I'm not saying they're not, but I am saying I'm skeptical of that number.

No you are saying that you are too stupid/lazy to do your own research and as usual you want to be spoon fed.

A quick scan of stories shows that VA funding bills tend to get treated as political fodder by both parties.

The issue is that dumb don has placed a hireing freeze on second hand cannon fodder while fully funding new cannon fodder.
Jesus you are phoquing stupid.

Why do we need a separate hospital system for VA care? Not having to maintain 150 hospitals might help cut down on expenses not going directly towards care.

If you shut down the v.a. hospital system where do the vets get medical treatment?
Since you never wore the uniform and never will it most likely has escaped your pea sized brain that vets have "vet specific issues"

No, the "we're stopping waste" argument isn't enough to explain it.
Nearly 42,000 VA jobs, 1 in 3 positions, are vacant (and have been), forcing veterans into more expensive private care.
Do we all sit around and shrug, or is this an issue to care about?

a good illustration of my point in the post above yours. maybe try reading it again when you are less interested in saving face and more interested in being decent.

Just more silly dancing.

More attitude, still nothing to say on the topic.

If that's "indecent," you're going to have a LOT of faux-rage.

What do we do about veterans' health care then? Create universal health care for veterans? Pay for their Medicaid/care or Obamacare? What?
It's easy to say what we shouldn't do, but that doesn't help veterans. What's the solution?

We are paying for their health care. It's, pretty much, single payer, even.
