respectmen -> Challenging the illusion that men don’t need help (2/17/2017 1:15:31 PM)

The evidence for the "Women are wonderful effect" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%22Women_are_wonderful%22_effect

And the ingroup bias with women. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15491274

There is no doubt that we as a collective are blind to male suffering.

Well to fair no-one has sucked my cock on here so all women are cunts and feminist lesbians...seems fair eh! RM and yours is a complete plague of boils

There is no doubt that we I as a collective an individual are blind to female suffering.

Fixed it for ya.

If we could be appreciative of the suffering of both genders, that would be *great*.

I dunno, I'm wondering how these alleged attitudes were accounted for, what form of survey and sample size, etc.

I seem to hear directly or otherwise overhear some woman saying "that guy needs help!" on a semi-regular basis, actually.

I surmise that you're none to pleased that they are so often pointing at you when they say it.

What we are discussing is the distortion of manhood in young males leading to this suffering and a generational bias toward pretending women have a better outlook over the male outlook. Any woman will tell you they voted for Trump because they hate women.

Funny, I found it hard to avoid women on here sucking my cock on the first face to face. The issue must be yours and I say that in a good way.

"Some women" but not all. in my experience some women need the help.

Ouch, that second point seems to be feminine (snarky) in it's tone and delivery.

Edwird -> RE: Challenging the illusion that men don’t need help (2/17/2017 4:01:23 PM)

Oh, so you're one of those insecure folks whose gender identity is easily threatened, feeling need to constantly re-assert ?

Didn't mean to touch a nerve there, sorry.

But yes, I hear both women and men make the comment I alluded to, and directed to either gender. I was just countering the OP's proposal, which reason I narrowed it to that purpose.

heavyblinker -> RE: Challenging the illusion that men don’t need help (2/17/2017 8:44:23 PM)

I completely agree with RM on this one and wish he would post more threads like this instead of feminist-hate.

Men do often suffer in silence, and suicide rates are higher for men in western societies, largely because it's so taboo for men to show weakness. Men are supposed to suck it up and 'be a man' so there's often no real support networks even among friends. The 2008 crash killed off a lot of 'man jobs'... and the fact that they never came back is actually a large part of why we ended up with the Trump nightmare... he promised to return the man jobs. This is appealing to men because they get to feel like men again, and appealing to women because they get to be with men who feel like men again.

We really do need to solve the problem of the 'traditional male identity'... 2016 has convinced me of that more than ever.

Nobody denies that men are abused as well as women.
But RM only ever plays the male victim.

Example: BBC News this morning said that the PM wants to introduce new legislation for domestic abuse.
The figures quoted were 1.3 million female victims, 600,000 male victims.
So there are more than 2x females suffering than males.
RM would skip this obvious statistic and only concentrate on male victims or claim that the females are getting more attention for the same thing.

His one-trick pony act is all he knows and it shows in every post he makes on every thread.

Male suffering is due to class structure in our society.

The top wealthy privileged look down on the wealthy achievers look down on the management level middle class look down at the white working class look down on the rural poor look down on urban blacks look down on illegal immigrants.

"Give a middle class man someone to look down upon, he will open his wallet to you." ~ author forgotten

RM fears that women are replacing him in the social order.

weak [:'(]

Whoa, Vincent ... that's Marxist talk, isn't it? I didn't think you guys your side of the pond *did* Marxist stuff. ;)

respectmen -> RE: Challenging the illusion that men don’t need help (2/18/2017 1:56:52 PM)

It's amazing how people are always trying to excuse male suffering one way or the other instead of having any consideration for the said problem. When women are suffering, nearly everyone acts in the way of poor women, pats them on the head. lol

No matter how obvious and extreme female privilege is, people still tend to ignore the huge fucking elephant in the room.

Lucylastic -> RE: Challenging the illusion that men don’t need help (2/18/2017 2:10:50 PM)

I dont believe you have any clue what you are talking about.
You certainly arent working towards a solution, and you never have been
NOBODY has said that men dont suffer.
There is you first bad assumption/lie.

I do not excuse male suffering, RM. Not at all. Too many men have suffered way too much and for centuries too long for me to do that. Where you and I disagree, I think, is in the question of who are our allies and who are our enemies.

They say that about me a lot but they all work in the same brothel and they know I always pay cash as I don't have a credit card.

LTE -> RE: Challenging the illusion that men don’t need help (2/18/2017 7:04:57 PM)

FR

Men suffer when they cannot obtain the next level of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs or cannot maintain their current level. They do so acutely because they are genetically driven to obtain the highest level possible by themselves where females tend partner with a producing male and that is a genetically driven code of conduct also.

Younger males suffer in western society by being feminized in broken homes which conflicts with their genetically ordained code of conduct which then leaves them in the basement of this Hierarchy and their mother's house. Older lower educated males fall off their current level and suffer in silence. Both are damaged in their level of esteem to a degree a times where they self destruct in a cascading fall of dominoes starting with their wives or partners and ending with their loss of life or love of life.
