the point is the issues stated is precisely why trump was voted in, he couldnt do any worse than the previous administrations have done if he tried!

Gonna share the "it could be" portion, although as a liberal, I totally agree with his takedown of both liberals and conservatives.

Most of the reasons he gives in that video for America being crap are due to the fact that America doesn't actually have a true left.

Canada and most of Europe have a true left, the US has a right-wing party and another right wing party that contains factions that are identical to the right wing party, insane, and/or openly fascist. The liberals in the US support the less objectionable right wing party because there's no alternative.

He wasn't calling for Trumpian racist isolationist populism, he was calling for something more in line with the 'people over profit' models of America's post-WWII golden age and the social democracies of Europe and proto-social democracies like Canada.

Aaron Sorkin, the writer, is a die-hard liberal.

I did karate for a couple of years at uni. I'm not sure I could still do the essential moves now, though, without doing myself a mischief. Walking around like a crab doesn't look cool, either.

However, having watched multiple videos of Krav Maga demos, I've often though, 'Wow!. Nasty vicious fighting techniques, without any requirement to be fit! Jolly agreeable!'

Even in my twilight years, with Krav Maga skills behind me, I'll still be able to beat up kindly little old ladies and decorated WW2 veterans - as well as help defend any given ISIS terrorist ... as any true Socialist is expected to do on a daily basis these days.

The difference is in the policies that have created the feeling and the fact, that things have gotten worse and almost entirely because of the lack of real conservatism from the right and so-called conservatives in office for the last 40 years.

However, any video showing us how and why rhetoric and demagoguery works, merely serves as primer for the next demagogue to try it and means nothing truly probative and is otherwise no more than just another version of spin.

OK, so maybe this is how Trump got elected but as likely proves that and what many (conservatives) friends keep telling me, 95% of those who listen and vote on that...are fucking morons and why ? For believing it and need to so badly, they'll put up with a shallow, narcissistic, autocrat-loving impostor as Trump is proving himself to be, and merely to continue as long as they can to feel good about their choice.

So RO feels good about his choice...still.

Maybe this points out that there is no real left and that doesn't matter for the moderate or independent. What matters is policy and if one looks back, Trump said he would run, if he did, as a republican...because they are the dumbest of all voters almost always voting against their own interest.

I think that's the whole point of the technique, d00d: it's more about hurting the other guy (or whoever) as badly as possible as fast as possible than a formalised display. It's more akin to that frightening business the soviet union used to teach their special forces than a martial art from most accounts.
