I get the idea that you're trying to push me into a corner, here.

If someone only wishes BDSM play, that's fine (as I've said, before) but, to then, label themselves as a submissive is not accurate (and in my humble opinion: dishonest).

Many (maybe even millions of) people enjoy BDSM and that's it. Many only wish to "submit" in the bedroom. God bless 'em. By taking the "name" of "submissive" (or slave), they are sending the wrong message, as far as I am concerned.

My point is more that you can't define someone's "lifestyle orientation" based on a small set of actions, or a particular short term type of relationship that they are in.  A person may be actively in the scene for a decade and never be owned.  A person may come onto collarme today and move in next week with their new master.  Which one is "living the lifestyle"?

It's a far more complex process than "if you're a bottom, you're X and if you're a sub, you're Y."

(I KNOW this is going to start trouble) Those that are only interested in the sexual aspect, to me, are "Tops" or "bedroom dominants". Again, that's fine but, that is NOT "lifestyle". Lifestyle is how you live; not just how you play.

People who live the tennis lifestyle aren't playing tennis 24/7.  They enjoy the game, and surround themselves with others who also enjoy the game, and center most of their social life around the game.

Sounds a heck of a lot like some "bedroom dominants" I know.

OK, here it is, and I am deffinate on this.... I have NEVER, and can never see myself ever having a desire that anyone controle me...no matter how much I might want to fuck them... there isn't an ounce of submissive in me... it just seems wrong to me to even consider it.

Be Well,
Darkside

Never confuse feeling respect and admiration for submission.  While it is a very fine line between dominance and submission, the intent is separate and the determining factor.

I may do a favor for Slave... because he deserves it, not because I am being subservient to him.

It’s funny though, I have met some beautiful male specimens that were reeking (figuratively speaking) of testosterone.  When the energy turned dominant, my dominant energy seems to compete with theirs.  We stay on an equal footing.

I'm not sure if this makes sense here.. but I tried to explain :)

Once again; tennis is something people DO it is NOT who they are. Professional tennis players certainly "play tennis" (or do something to further that) 24/7

Let me say this again: D/s is who we ARE (or not). BDSM is what we DO
