Nnanji -> Trump taxes, oh my. (3/14/2017 8:07:51 PM)

Apparently, Trump trumped Maddow. Paid higher tax rates than Obama or Berney.

http://www.cnbc.com/2017/03/14/donald-trump-just-got-a-nice-victory-thanks-of-all-people-to-rachel-maddow.html

Waiting to hear Alt-left spin. Have at it.

Lucylastic -> RE: Trump taxes, oh my. (3/14/2017 8:36:06 PM)

in 2005??? obama was a newly minted senator.
Just from my own thoughts,
Maddows show has been doing a lot of digging into the ruskie issues.
her ratings have shot up to the point that her ratings topped Carlsons last week.

Trump leaked it to maddow, and then "trumped" her...to get her back.
They dont know his sources, donations or holdings and foreign income.
Its nothing he didnt want put out.

Well stated Lucy. With a wry grin (not directed at you) I have to agree that's a possibility. Yet, he obviously did trump Maddow. He, at least in that year, did pay a higher percentage than Obama and Berney. Also, as I understand, the NYT had an article on this a year ago, so how was Maddow so...flummoxed and used?

Lucylastic -> RE: Trump taxes, oh my. (3/14/2017 8:47:40 PM)

Trum doesnt like her...never has...hes a vindictive prick, so yeah I can see it.

Knowing a few people who grew up with Rachel, who all say she's a plotting little bitch, I'm sure he's justified and she deserves it. As to your comments about Trump. I'd pretty much expect that sort of thing from you and realize it means nothing because it's just you.

Termyn8or -> RE: Trump taxes, oh my. (3/14/2017 11:07:29 PM)

Could be bullshit. Anyone can fill out the forms and put anything they want on there. What needs to happen is that you sign an official form allowing the IRS to release the information. Unless it actually comes from the IRS it can be bullshit because I can get forms from an office supply place and put anything I want on there.

I knew a guy who got a huge loan by just going to Burrow's and filling out some forms. He could not be charged with fraud because there is no way for them to get the proof without his permission. The deal fell through. Now, because of all the defaults they want the info right from the IRS. Undocumented income is no longer acceptable to get a loan in most cases, at least without considerable collateral.

If you get a loan fraudulently, what I heard is you can be charged if you don't make the first payment. If you just make the first payment, no. This is very old information and things have probably changed but that is how it was long ago. Thing is they looked at your net worth and if you claim you have been making a million bucks a year, where are your assets ? You should at least have a house and car.

Without certified copies, I don't believe shit.

T^T

Its fake news. Prove they are Trumps returns. He has said he will release them, but no, he says he will not. Aside from the obvious lie, he was for it before he was against it, placing him firmly in the nutsucker catagory.

Actually you're wrong mental patient. Trump said he'd release his returns when Clinton (the rape apologist) released her emails. Which ever voice keeps saying that, you need to reprimand.

WickedsDesire -> RE: Trump taxes, oh my. (3/15/2017 7:16:59 AM)

I was going to do this thread but was waffling to someone for a bit........so the key points were

Donald Trump's 2005 tax return leak reveals $38m bill

US President Donald Trump paid $38m (£31m) in tax on more than $150m (£123m) income in 2005, a leaked partial tax return shows.

The two pages of tax return, revealed by US TV network MSNBC, also showed he wrote off $103m in losses. It gave no details on income sources.

The White House said publishing the tax return was against the law.

Mr Trump refused to release his tax returns during the election campaign, breaking with a long-held tradition.

The release showed Mr Trump paid the Internal Revenue Service $38m in 2005, an effective tax rate of 24%.

This is higher than the average American citizen would pay but below the 27.4% averaged by higher-earning taxpayers.

The bill comprises $5.3m in federal income tax and an extra $31m in what is called alternative minimum tax (AMT).

AMT was set up nearly 50 years ago to stop the wealthiest people from using deductions and loopholes to avoid paying taxes. Mr Trump has called for it to be abolished.

The two-page form only gives basic figures and offers no insight into the sources of his earnings.
It also does not give details on any charity donations.

Last October, the New York Times revealed parts of Mr Trump's 1995 tax returns that showed losses of $916m (£753m). The newspaper said this could have affected his returns for up to 18 subsequent years, allowing him to legally avoid paying federal income taxes.

The forms disclosed on Tuesday do not say whether the £103m write-down that Mr Trump recorded in 2005 is connected to the losses in 1995.

Every US presidential candidate since 1976 has released their tax returns although there is no legal requirement to do so.
Throughout his presidential campaign and since his election, Mr Trump has refused to release his returns.

He has said he is under audit by tax authorities and that his lawyers advise against releasing the documents.

Slippernotes
1. Overlooking tax shenanigans, $103 million write down, and unknown donation to charity; which are made for tax purposes usually. Then 25% is impressive at face value
2. Clinton's were up about 28% I think, and that last republican candidate, now who was that - was it Al Gore, cruz? Was about %12-14ish - fuking feeble.
3. The figures are from 2005 without the details or extent of shenanigans - there may be none at all well bar those aforementioned dodges...but 25% is impressive
4. He has not released any tax returns there is no good reason for that
5. "I will release tax returns after Audit"
6. "I will release tax returns after she releases emails"
7. looking for a video clip two tics...in essence he was on a televised debate asking, nay screeching away at one of his rivals to release his tax returns - anyone remember his name?
8. boasted at paying as little tax as possible citing its "brilliant"

It's amusing to see the alt left act like after eight years of their people, lies suddenly matter again.

It's like magic. For eight years, nothing mattered. Then POOF, everything and nothing at all is suddenly worth being hysterical over 24/7

It always mattered, and nutsuckers have always lied. Look at you felchgobbler gobbles, you are a sharp liar, and a pedophile pimp.

And he hasnt mentioned that part since he originally said it in september of 16...

so its hardly worth taking seriously. especially when in late January( I believe it was around the 23rd, one of Mr Trump's senior advisors, Kellyanne Conway, said during an interview on ABC America's This Week Mr Trump wouldn't release his tax returns.

aaaaaah heres the link

WickedsDesire -> RE: Trump taxes, oh my. (3/15/2017 8:11:10 AM)

do you remember he was debating Cruz or someone and screeching at cruz, or someone, to release his tax returns - anyone remember who and when that debate was...was it 2005?

Well my dear lucy he has already blamed, clintons Russian email hackers and appealed directly to the Russians, the IRS for he is under audit, his own lawyers, am i missing anyone he has not blamed? overlooking he was the first presidential candidate not to do so since 1976... I conclude he is hiding lots...well not actually money as eve i know he is a penniless hobo wretch, lots of IOU's to the Russians probably

but hell can someone tell me who it was from 2005ish? And I will find the clip

Maddow has been kicking ass on the Trump/Russia thing for weeks now-- I am sure that he has been watching.
The right has already declared victory here, but I have no doubt that they'll get him eventually.
A full tax return from 2008 would be a lot more interesting.

It has definitely distracted the right from the complete and total breakdown of Trump's wiretapping claims.

No, what it shows is that I can read what the article literally says. You should read it, instead of soaking in your own prejudices.

Trump said he paid no taxes. The report details how much tax he paid. How is that not a lie? Can't wait for the alt-right spin.

And, as you folks are fabulously famous for noting, one guy who happens just have come across this tax return is not a solid basis in the era of fake news, alternative facts, and flat out lies. Maybe it's true -- and if it is, it's also proof of Trump's lie.

Simply what the article says, Einstein.

Unless you're using "alternative reading comprehension."
