Breaking news, NBC released through an insane Rachel Maddow, illegally obtained copies of President Trump's tax returns from 2005 that showed he paid millions in taxes, at a higher rate than NBC or Obama or Bernie Sanders

The horror, he paid a lot in taxes

The real news is, except for FOX we don't have real news any more. NBC is the same network that tried to control the election results by holding on to an eleven year old recording of Donald Trump saying the word "pussy" until just prior to the election

NBC is at the same level as all of the other old media such as ABC, CBS, the NYT...

All sewage

MercTech -> RE: Demonizing All Things Trump (3/15/2017 10:24:54 AM)

Not being unlawful does not imply ethical.

mnottertail -> RE: Demonizing All Things Trump (3/15/2017 11:45:57 AM)

Malum in se is not Malum prohibitum.

Ethics are, unless they are codified, not in play, for very obvious reasons. At any point this is called unethical you would have to unwind the basis for it, and that is purely subjective.

What about making up some bullshit about a wiretap before making your poor lackeys clean up the mess? What about blatantly lying about meaningless, stupid things like the size of your inauguration crowd to millions of people on a daily basis?

Still, I have to agree that sinking to Trump's level is a mistake. No matter how dirty he is, no matter how horrible it is to have him as president-- Maddow is cocky and seems to think that she has to do the job of law enforcement.

Whether or not the FBI/CIA is too corrupt to function in that capacity, whether or not Trump is trying to buy them off with taxpayer money/doing some other shit he learned from his dealings with the mafia/Russian oligarchs... she thinks there won't be consequences and of course Trump, the vindictive little child, has struck back.

I honestly don't know if the press needs to do the job of law enforcement, but if this is seriously the era we're living in then this is definitely a reminder that she's breaking new ground... it was bound to happen.

I hope she and the press have learned a valuable lesson about dealing with this disgusting sack of shit and in the future they refine their strategy-- he needs to be brought down, but they have to be careful and cautious about how it is done.

Trump knows how to manipulate the media. As much as they hate him, i'm sure they love him for the ratings they get. People love reality tv.

Hasn't he had to stop doing The Apprentice since he got elected, or is that another conflict of interest he's got no interest in resolving?

The person who released the stolen tax info committed a felony.

Since it says client copy (if any is true) more than likely not.

there it is for IRS and govt employees, show me for say Tom Arnold releasing Paul Ryans returns.

Or Ivana Trump releasing them.

A civil matter perhaps.

I'm sure Ivana has much worse on him, but she was scared enough of the tiny-handed little shit to abide by her non disclosure agreement before he sleazed his way into a public office, so she won't be saying anything now that he has Bannon and Putin's hands stretching is anus, will she?

You are the very definition of a hypocrite. You assume without evidence that the president has done all of these imaginary horrible things while at the same time lecturing about how that making accusations without providing proof "right now" is the worst thing possible

You're the very definition of stupid.

There is enough evidence to conclude that Trump has participated in a LOT of shady shit... but there is a difference between evidence and a smoking gun. My point is that if you're a journalist and you're going to come out with stuff like this, then it should be far more explosive and impossible to undermine... NOT that you can't feel safe drawing certain conclusions based on what you know about Trump and his behavior.

Zero evidence. A lot of wild-eyed hysteria

No evidence
