dcnovice -> House intel chairman: No evidence of wiretapping claim (3/15/2017 2:05:39 PM)

And this is a guy from the president's own party.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes said he does not believe Trump's claim that Obama wiretapped him, but said it's possible Trump communications may have been gathered in "incidental" intelligence collection.

"I don't believe Trump Tower was tapped," Nunes told reporters Wednesday.

"We don't have any evidence that that took place and, in fact, I don't believe -- just in the last week of time, the people we've talked to -- I don't think there was an actual tap of Trump Tower," Nunes said at a news conference in reference to the baseless claim originally made by Trump several weeks ago.

Not really, he just believes the conspiracy websites, radio shows and that stuff.

He got his information from the Breitbart show who got it from some radio conspiracy theorist's talk show who pulled it out of his ass.

So, in point of fact, Trump is not a sociopathic liar, he believes the conspiracy theorists who ARE sociopathic liars and paranoid shit for brains idiots.

What you expect politicians and Intelligence Officers to tell the truth and admit to illegal and unathorised activities? Say since several russians have been arrested recently and the case of femme fatale sleepers married to British and American citizens in recent years perhaps, trumps present and past Russian wives should be checked in case they are Russian Intelligence sleeper agents.

hello new poster, I dont trust politicians or the "intelligence" agencies, I have a cynical view on trusting most things and people, but thats another subject.
Female spies have always been with us...
Do you think they are looking into it?
Wont their non disclosure agreements hamper(at least) any investigation, I dunno, personally Im far more concerned with a lot of other issues to ponder the reality, but ...interesting point.

CNN or NBC or ABC or the New York Slimes or NPR ever find any evidence that the President helped the Russians steal Queen Hillary's crown

Since the evidence hasn't been given to the House yet there wouldn't be. Then he turn around and says it may have been incidental with what many of us consider to be a illegal program. Yep you have total refutation there.

The U.S. Intelligence Community (USIC) is confident that the Russian Government directed the recent compromises of e-mails from US persons and institutions, including from US political organizations. The recent disclosures of alleged hacked e-mails on sites like DCLeaks.com and WikiLeaks and by the Guccifer 2.0 online persona are consistent with the methods and motivations of Russian-directed efforts. These thefts and disclosures are intended to interfere with the US election process. Such activity is not new to Moscow—the Russians have used similar tactics and techniques across Europe and Eurasia, for example, to influence public opinion there. We believe, based on the scope and sensitivity of these efforts, that only Russia's senior-most officials could have authorized these activities.

Some states have also recently seen scanning and probing of their election-related systems, which in most cases originated from servers operated by a Russian company. However, we are not now in a position to attribute this activity to the Russian Government. The USIC and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) assess that it would be extremely difficult for someone, including a nation-state actor, to alter actual ballot counts or election results by cyber attack or intrusion. This assessment is based on the decentralized nature of our election system in this country and the number of protections state and local election officials have in place. States ensure that voting machines are not connected to the Internet, and there are numerous checks and balances as well as extensive oversight at multiple levels built into our election process.

Nevertheless, DHS continues to urge state and local election officials to be vigilant and seek cybersecurity assistance from DHS. A number of states have already done so. DHS is providing several services to state and local election officials to assist in their cybersecurity. These services include cyber “hygiene” scans of Internet-facing systems, risk and vulnerability assessments, information sharing about cyber incidents, and best practices for securing voter registration databases and addressing potential cyber threats. DHS has convened an Election Infrastructure Cybersecurity Working Group with experts across all levels of government to raise awareness of cybersecurity risks potentially affecting election infrastructure and the elections process. Secretary Johnson and DHS officials are working directly with the National Association of Secretaries of State to offer assistance, share information, and provide additional resources to state and local officials.

As you know, its still in inquiry, and I did say I was waiting, so really, your post is just more deflection.
Thank you

Ah, yes - the same Obama plants who have been attacking the new administration by sending the alt left media transcripts of private phone calls to various world leaders etc

The same folks who do things like this on a routine basis:

Wikileaks: CIA can make cyberattacks look like they originate from Russia

mnottertail -> RE: House intel chairman: No evidence of wiretapping claim (3/16/2017 10:58:08 AM)

Update: Ryan and Senators Dispute Trump's Claim

The speaker of the House, the Senate Intelligence Committee chairman and the ranking Democrat on the committee said Thursday that they've seen no evidence of President Donald Trump's accusation that he was wiretapped last year by his predecessor.

Senate Intelligence Committee chair Richard Burr and ranking member Mark Warner issued a statement Thursday, saying "based on the information available to us, we see no indications that Trump Tower was the subject of surveillance by any element of the United States government either before or after Election Day 2016."

Their statement came hours after House Speaker Paul Ryan said that "no such wiretap existed," citing intelligence reports to House leaders.

"The intelligence committees, in their continuing, widening, ongoing investigations of all things Russia, got to the bottom -- at least so far with respect to our intelligence community -- that no such wiretap existed," Ryan said in response to a question from CNN at a news conference.
