ravn -> forum members and a lightbulb (7/25/2006 3:14:08 PM)

I saw this on another forum i belong to and HAD to repost it: it's just so damn true. LOL
::EDIT:: shoudl've gone in the humour forum, sorry about that

How many forum members does it take to change a light bulb?

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
27 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
41 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ...
... another 6 to condemn those 6 as anl-retentive

2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
27 to post URLs where one can see examples of different light bulbs
12 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy

4 to suggest that posters request the light bulb FAQ
44 to ask what is a "FAQ"

2 to post reasons why the light bulb burning out is the result of a government conspiracy
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
43 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs"

and finally,

1 lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now, and start it all over again

Aileen68 -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/25/2006 3:18:44 PM)

You forgot the few that always come in to highjack the thread by talking about fish, dancing bananas and dog pee.

windchymes -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/25/2006 4:17:11 PM)

And don't forget.....

1 to post the questions "What is the definition of "bulb?" and "What does light mean to you?" along with 267 responses.

14 to argue whether or not the device used to turn the light bulb on and off should be called a "switch".

twicehappy -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/25/2006 4:37:30 PM)

Hey you forgot all the posts to be made on the complaint thread about the light bulb thread, lol, Very cute and funny.

Well, if a fish has a choice between dancing with a banana and swimming in dog pee, it would probably choose death.

benji

Aileen68 -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/25/2006 4:49:25 PM)

Unless it's a masochistic fish.

gooddogbenji -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/25/2006 4:51:45 PM)

Then you have to define "SWITCH" Is the "switch" Male when the light is on and female when the light is off? Or is it male when the light is off and Female when the light if on?

crouchingtigress -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/25/2006 8:49:18 PM)

[image]http://ephatch.com/forum/images/smilies/pianodance.gif[/image] some one call me???

LaMalinche -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/25/2006 9:24:31 PM)

And do not forget the Nazis. . . you have to have someone bring in the Nazis, or it just is not aa proper thread.

  Hee hee..that's very clever.

OH, and you forgot....17 to argue about whether a kajira can lift her head higher than a free woman while changing a  light bulb.

E.

chantrea -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/26/2006 2:19:05 AM)

well that depends.... did the Free Male say the kajira could....

Course that brings on the posts of book quotes and what not that support and disprove this.  Whoot ... what fun

*goes to post a thread about how proud she is to change a lightbulb*

Alumbrado -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/26/2006 2:32:54 AM)

Sadly all too true

wandering4u -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/26/2006 4:01:17 AM)

and then there were the 24 people who thought that there no such thing as a "switch" and actually they question whether light bulbs are real

cheshireboy -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/26/2006 4:21:38 AM)

and then the 4 people that will discuss if by the recent cultural changes shown in our society if it is now socially acceptable to change a light bulb in public

cheshire
"a light bulb by any other name would still be something to screw"

VandalHeart -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/26/2006 5:27:05 AM)

Yes, but how many people would start complaining about how they hate lightbulb jokes at that point?

windchymes -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/26/2006 1:57:24 PM)

Do you think Thomas Edison was "Old Guard"?

LaTigresse -> RE: forum members and a lightbulb (7/26/2006 2:04:47 PM)

and then you have those that would question if it was a "real and true" lightbulb just because it had yet to be lit
