There are tales of an eccentric couple who live on the edge of nowhere in South Carolina. The stories tend to vary according to the proclivities of the story teller, but a few common details always get woven in...
This particular couple enjoy enticing innocent women out to see their unique little house set way out in the countryside. The drive always seems to take forever... Field after field, tree after tree, it all blurs together with this turn and that.
At the home, things are always pleasant and polite. There is no want of refreshments as the hosts make sure their guests are comfortable. Their pets are friendly and well behaved. Even the little black cat is sweet in his own aggressive way.
Our couple always make it a point to lead these lovelies out to the large barn on the back edge of their property. That is where the stories start to differ. Some claim that what happens next is filled with screams and pleading, while others claim that there is hardly a breath between the peak of hysterical laughter. Some even whisper about the eerie silence and the darkness.
What ever the truth may be, one thing is certain: none of those women ever leave... without a contented smile!
