ORIGINAL: tweakabelle Is there anyone else out there who is staggered that the head of the FBI, speaking in his official capacity, and also on behalf of the Dept of Justice, has effectively called the President a liar? In a normal democratic country this would unleash a crisis that could only be resolved, at the barest minimum, by either the President or Comey resigning. Dear Leader Thump made specific and unprecedented allegations about his predecessor. After investigating the claims, neither the FBI nor the DOJ could find any evidence to support Dear Leader Thump's claims that his predecessor "wiretapped" Dear Leader Thump at his NYC HQ. So one or both of the parties - Dear Leader Thump or the FBI & DOJ - is telling lies, and in any normal democracy, any public official, elected or appointed, who is caught telling lies of these dimensions must resign. So, leaving aside the truth of any (potentially more serious) claims about the "Russian connection", Dear Leader Thump's 'integrity', or more accurately, the minute portion of Dear Leader Thump's integrity that is still standing, is shot to pieces. The President is a liar, the world knows it and if he had a principled bone in his body he would resign immediately. Ever hear of Watergate? And lets see, who has called the President a liar in, say the last couple of weeks? There was former President Obama, the British Secret Service (well that was a denial they wiretapped and bugged Trump at Obama's request,) so why not the FBI coming out and stating that President Trump is either a pathological liar OR suffers from some paranoid delusions. So far, it is beginning to look like all the fake news might actually be not fake.
