I suggest you revisit your understanding of "neo-liberals."

Absolutely, revisiting my concepts is always a good suggestion. What is your take on neo-liberalism?

Neo-liberalism is the free-market, globalization, economic philosophy that has commoditised labor and sent away all those manufacturing jobs that the lying scum Donald Trump will never get back (with a nod to the inevitable job-killing contribution of new automation) I am not bitching about neo-liberalism. We are beyond the point of beneficial tariffs. But, there is no way any neo-liberals would wish to be associated with O-care.

Dammiit, Vincent, you're right. I should have said social liberals. My "isms" were befuddled. So many these days. Thank you.

in that vein, it would seem that cutting defense and corporate welfare considerably would be in line with the thoughts, particularly since it hasnt been a big profit center for us as of late. Maybe move some of that spending into more fruitful areas, single payer, infrastructure, education.........something with a payoff.

Well, spending 50 or so billion on shit that blows up (and needs to be rather abruptly replaced), is nearly always a great way to create jobs.

(I'm told anyway).

Well, a quick way anyway.

And to balloon national debt further.

TRUMPCARE - I envisage his vision to be a ditch - explains the wall if you think very carefully.

We had a reasonable chance back in 92....and again in 96.

Yep.

Then we said "Hey! Let's spend it on wars and tax cuts instead!"

"In fact, let's spend MORE than that on wars and tax cuts!"

Yeah well...that was kinda fucked up (and....well...I didn't...I always voted for the guys that actually wanted to pay our bills but...look what that got me.....derision from my Mom..."JON!!! You KNEW that guy couldn't be elected!!!"....me: "Yeah....I know Mom...but...he could have been if people stopped believing he couldn't be")

Sue me....I know everything and...I'm in the book.

I'm with you. Voting for people who "could get elected" but shouldn't isn't helping either.
