2) The floor that the shots were fired from was not thoroughly searched for a good 30 minutes after the shots were fired and no one was on the floor for ten minutes after the first officer found the sniper position (he left to inform other officers.)

3) No one had a view of the fire escape from that floor at any point after the shots were fired.

Another conspiracy theory (and I do like this one a lot) is that the main achievement of the Warren report was to muddy the waters so thoroughly a proper investigation of the shooting became impossible. Anybody would think that somebody didn't want the notion that a lone gunman with a mail order rifle could bump off a president to gain any credibility.
