In the two months since Donald Trump took office, U.S. airstrikes have killed an astonishing number of civilians in the Middle East.
Over the weekend, the U.S. government confirmed that it launched an airstrike in Mosul, Iraq, which killed as many as 200 Iraqi civilians. Rescue workers on Sunday told the Washington Post that they had removed over 100 bodies from the ruins of one house, and they are still working to clear the rest of the neighborhood.

The attack took place on March 17, but it took the U.S. government a full week to acknowledge it. β€œAn initial review of strike data from March 16–23 indicates that, at the request of the Iraqi Security Forces, the Coalition struck ISIS fighters and equipment, March 17, in West Mosul at the location corresponding to allegations of civilian casualties,” read a Pentagon statement on Saturday.

The problem with the rules is that a candidate must top 50% of the vote, not just a majority, or it goes to the House.
We need either (1) leveraged voting (where you rank the candidates and those choices are weighted accordingly) or (2) run-off elections.

Everyone who wants to run pays $1000 registration fee, and can take their chances and start getting the word out.

In May, we have a massive online election to winnow the field down to 10 candidates.

In August, we have another one to get to 4 or 5 candidates.

In November, on the 1st Tuesday (after the 1st Monday of the month), we vote, and the top vote getter is elected President, and the 2nd highest vote getter is VP.

Just think if the VP wasn't from the same party as the President and there was a tie in the Senate...
