Breaking: NFL will force Stephen Ross to sell the Miami Dolphins

In a shocking twist, the NFL has announced and unanimously voted to force Stephen Ross to sell the Miami Dolphins. The breaking news comes less than a week after Ross voted against the Raiders move to Las Vegas and later released a statement against public funding being used for stadiums and putting the fans first.

Holding a press conference after the vote was held over skype, Roger Goodell confirmed the news and also gave a brief, one-hour statement to support the owners stance. The biggest points of this though was the league’s reaction and tough push back on owners that refuse to fall in line and get with the program.

“When Mr. Ross voted against the Raiders move to Las Vegas, he voted against the success of the NFL”, Goodell said. “The number one goal of this league is not to respect the fans, produce a good and safe product, and earn the respect of millions. The goal of this league which I run and basically own is to make money and a lot of it.”

Goodell also vented some during the conference about the public funding that is used to build new stadiums like the one in Las Vegas. “We provide the product, why should we have to build our own stadiums. Sure we have the money, but why should we do that when counties and cities across the country are just dying to throw money at us?”

MrRodgers -> RE: NFL will force Stephen Ross to sell the Miami Dolphins (4/1/2017 5:17:16 PM)

Well the truly intellectually insulting thing about such a statement, is that in the most accurate view of American exceptionalism, it would if true, simply prioritize that with wall street/bankers being the world's richest socialists, the NFL owners become then as likely, the world's...second richest socialists.

I mean we simply can't have those kinds of countless Billion$ going to the great capitalist proletariat for say, little things like health care or housing. Now that would...really be socialist.

NO !! Bringing this into the current state of affairs for the increasingly impoverished American working class, we are reminded that.....

American exceptionalism is for the great unwashed and uninformed labor force, to work, pay taxes on what little you earn for it, pay twice as much for what health care they do get and just die...3-4 years younger then those 'other' socialists.

We need an April 'fact' day.

setting aside for a moment what a pathetic vulgar excuse for a man you are, there's also this:

"Democrats, Psychological Projection and Russia"

quote:

Have you ever been around someone who has a bad case of gas, but always finds ways to blame the noxious fumes on those around them?

Democrats are masters of the "whoever smelt it, dealt it" game, which is really nothing more than psychological projection.

Psychologists define psychological projection as a protective defense mechanism whereby someone dishonestly attributes his or her bad behavior to someone else by inventing false accusations to divert attention away from themselves to avoid blame and punishment.

Undeniably, the Obama administration and Democrats are obsessed with Russia. Their Russia musings were amusing -- until it became almost a daily...weird...sociopathic, psychological projection...kind of thing. [no, that's certainly not going on here!] It's uncanny that it didn't let up until Trump made it known he suspected Obama might have listened to his private conversations.

Until then, Democrats' Russian ramblings were baseless, so the more they talked about Trump and Russia, the more curious their intentions became. After all, there are plenty of dots to connect to make the case for why Russia would've wanted Hillary to win in 2016.

Uranium One would be a good place to start. Uranium One is a Russian-owned uranium mining company that lobbied the Obama State Department through a firm co-founded by Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign chairman, John Podesta.

The Daily Caller reports "Uranium One is significant because it fell under the corporate control of Rosatom, Russia's atomic energy agency, through a series of transactions approved by Hillary Clinton's State Department."

The acquisition "effectively gave Russia control of 20 percent of the uranium in the U.S," the Daily Caller reported.

Furthermore, the same report says, "Uranium One paid The Podesta Group $40,000 to lobby the State Department, the Senate" and other groups.

And it didn't end there. The New York Times reports: "As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions...a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation...totaling $2.35 million" and "shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock."

Additionally, in 2009, then-President Obama altered U.S. missile defense policy, stopping plans for a missile defense shield in Eastern Europe, which Mitt Romney called "a gift to Russia."

In 2012, Obama was caught in a friendly open mic conversation to then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev about missile defense promising: "This is my last election, after my election, I have more flexibility."

During the 2012 presidential race Obama mocked Mitt Romney for saying Russia was America's "number one geopolitical foe." "The 1980s are now calling," Obama wisecracked, "to ask for their foreign policy back because the Cold War's been over for 20 years."

Fast-forward to NBC's "Meet the Press" show with NBC's Chuck Todd, March 5, when former CIA director James Clapper claimed he didn't know of any evidence that points toward a Trump-Russia collusion. When questioned by Todd, Clapper responded, "Not to my knowledge."

Something is up with Democrats and Russia.

Trump administration officials should not rest until they have investigated any ties because all this Russia-bashing suggests they are hiding something. Additionally, believers should pray that Democrats' eyes would be opened to the truth that until they return to God and destroy the Progressivism which now controls their party, they'll remain delusional and in a state of perpetual chaos.

In the meantime, it stinks to be a Democrat.

Democrats are crying out for help, so would someone please call a shrink to help them deal with their post-election grief issues and psychological projection problem?

"Blue State Blues: The White House Loves the Russia ‘Scandal’"

quote:

The Trump White House seems quietly to be enjoying the Russia hacking “scandal.”

Certainly it has its day-to-day frustrations, especially for Sean Spicer, who has to face the press corps and its obsession with meaningless minutiae.

But the joke is on the journalists. They are spending so much time on the non-story that they are missing what President Donald Trump is actually doing. He complains on Twitter about the coverage, but the truth is that the distraction is very useful.

The “scandal” is no longer about Russia. Now it is about how House Intelligence Committee chair Devin Nunes (R-CA) found information backing up Trump’s claims that his team was under surveillance by the Obama administration.

Was Nunes approached by whistleblowers who came to his congressional office? Or were the whistleblowers sent by the White House to Nunes? It makes no difference at all, but the media think they are onto something very important.

CNN called it a “cover-up,” without specifying what, exactly, Nunes was supposed to be “covering up.” And the answer is: nothing.

Even if — for argument’s sake — the White House had approached Nunes rather than the other way around, the worst that could be said about it is that Nunes behaved like a partisan Republican. If so, he is no more partisan than ranking member Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who is abusing his position to launch conspiracy theories against the GOP.

The core of Schiff’s case, as presented at the House Intelligence Committee last Monday, is a lie — namely, the false claim that the Republican Party altered its platform at the behest of Trump aides in order to appease the Russians. As Byron York of the Washington Examiner has demonstrated, the Republican platform was “was actually strengthened, not weakened” against Russia.

Schiff is still pretending that some other evidence will emerge on Trump-Russia ties. But the idea Russia colluded with the Trump campaign is ludicrous, for three reasons.

The first is there is no evidence whatsoever to support that claim. Obama’s own James Clapper and Mike Morell even said so — though it took Trump’s tweets about “wiretapping” to flush them out of hiding.

Second, the Russians could not have known that Trump would win, and would not have targeted Clinton alone when it seemed that she could exact punishment once she took office.

The third reason is that Hillary Rodham Clinton was arguably the most pro-Russian official since Alger Hiss. From the Russian “reset,” to giving up missile defense, to the one-sided New START treaty, to the uranium giveaway, to the loss of the Middle East, and to the loss of the Crimea (which happened on her successor’s watch, while she remained silent), Clinton ran the State Department almost like a post-Soviet satellite.

Indeed, if Donald Trump really wanted to appease Russian President Vladimir Putin, it would be hard to find anything left with which to appease him. The Russians saw Trump’s criticism of NATO as useful, and applauded him. But they likely preferred Clinton.

Already, Trump has been much tougher on Russia than Obama ever was. From blasting Russia at the UN Security Council over the eastern Ukraine, to threatening to tear up the New START treaty, Trump has opposed Putin — and it shows. Trump foreign policy adviser Sebastian Gorka, formerly of Breitbart News, is also a vociferous critic of Russia.

So the Russia “scandal” is much ado about nothing. But it keeps the media distracted from what Trump is really doing — such as taking a chainsaw to Obama’s regulations — and it keeps the Democrats from developing an actual message.

The beauty of it all? Aside from Trump’s tweets, the media and the Democrats are creating this distraction themselves.

"The rational left [any of those here??] attempt to hold back Russia obsessed Dems"

quote:

You can probably count on one hand the few voices on the left warning against the irrational Russia-obsessed conspiracy theorists that have infected today’s Democratic Party. I’m sure they are shaking their heads as they watch their comrades join in with neocons like Dick Cheney. Here’s a few of their tweets to give you a sample of the madness they are up against.

Michael Tracey now works for the Young Turks and watched this insanity firsthand. Here’s one of his recent posts:
