I actually think he's setting a good example of how things could change. As i mentioned in another thread, i think that we should institute a 'patriotic capitalist' system where 'Funds' are set up that corporations and individuals donate to instead of being taxed and have the government waste/mismanage the funds. Infrastucture Fund. (I could see auto industry supporting this), National Park Fund, Veterans Fund, etc. This could also be used in the corporation's marketing, etc.

Advocates have warned that the cuts would harm acquisition and preservation programs. The check presented today would make up just .005 percent of the cuts.

Personally, the fact that US is in deficit. They will always have to make painful cuts. It's such an Alien situation on my side as we are always in surpluses. So we are always talking about opening new departments.

You have many departments who are just as important as each other. But no matter what, if you need to spread that money, you gotta sacrifice some even if it's just as important.

It's like when this is all the money you got to spend. Painful cuts happens.

The reason positive news isn't 'as reported' is that his stinginess and corruption are more concerning, and also the fact that his 'generosity' almost exclusively involves him giving away money that other people have donated to his charity.
