ORIGINAL: Greta75 I find this extremely hard to believe. That's because you don't live in a western culture. I read the article and I can't imagine that it's wrong. RM definitely has issues with women, but that doesn't mean that women are always victims or are perfectly innocent little angels who never do anything wrong, who are rarely superficial or who could never succumb to unrealistic expectations defined by the media in terms of who they choose to enter a relationship with. I also think that men are expected to be tougher or not care so much if someone calls them fat, short, bald, etc. A byproduct of telling men over and over that 'they have it so easy' is that when they fail, they can't fall back on the whole 'discrimination' thing and can see themselves as even more worthless for having failed when everyone tells them that they should have no problems succeeding. People who believe this could also be more inclined to show less compassion and less understanding towards them than they would to someone who failed but can fall back on the 'discrimination' argument, even if discrimination wasn't truly a factor. This whole phenomenon of disenfranchised men, stuck between the perception of being 'kings of the world' and the reality of growing socioeconomic imbalance is part of how we get to someone like Trump and the rise of fascist movements that promise to empower traditional masculinity in society.
