Among all the Chinese majority countries. Besides my own. Taiwan has always been the most modern in many things. And very peaceful. So it constantly upsets me that China wants Taiwan back in their fold.

But I know banning of dog and cat meat are no brainers in the western countries.

BUT not a common sense thing in Asia where it can be delicacies.

So for Taiwan to do this, is very very forward again! China will never ban cat or dog meat ever!

It sucks so much to see China want to bring this beautiful country and corrupt them under their fold.

That all depends on whether or not they think the U.S. will intervene. I seem to recall, yes recall I haven't looked it up, that after the U.S. left Vietnam that the Chinese and Vietnamese went at it and the Vietnamese handed China their ass.

That is a point. However, if China were to occupy Taiwan they'd have to have boots on the ground that would have to cross the open water and land somewhere. As Trump just demonstrated, one MOAB could pretty much ruin that plan. So it wouldn't need a carrier group, just a plane. Maybe, thinking about it, Trump's message to North Korea wasn't just for them alone.

China has an airforce and aa missiles.
It has been noted that china put some ten to fifteen divisions on the n.korean boarder. Some would like to believe it is to intimidate the n.koreans. Could there be another reason? Could they be there for the same reason they were there once before?

If you want to annex an island's social infrastructure, economic arrangements, and resident workforce, dropping a huge fucking bomb that kills everybody and demolishes all the buildings isn't the way to go. You might as well build a new free trade port on a different island as do that: at least you've saved the cost of bombing the place flat first in that case.

I think within the last few days th Chinese Foreign Minister stated it would not allow a hostile government in The NK capital or a hostile army near the Yalu.
