Schools 'depending on parents' direct debits'

Almost one in five parents in the UK is being asked to set up payments to their children's schools, as head teachers warn of budget shortages, says a survey from a teachers' union.

The NASUWT survey claims some parents are asked for £400 or more per year.
Schools in England have been warning of cash shortages and the union says schools are now depending on parents.

But the Department for Education says "no parent is required to make a contribution".
Teachers' unions are holding their conferences over the Easter bank holiday weekend, with funding one of the biggest issues.

And some of you wonder why I hate the “English" jackals

Now you know how they do it to us. "You have to pay for this", "We are already paying for this", "Well, you have to pay again".

Why ? Because they are stealing the money funneling it off to their friends. Of course they won't admit it.

And they think people are going to pay another FOUR HUNDRED POUNDS per year for something that is supposedly taken care of by their normal exorbitant tax rate ?

Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way (Pink Floyd), but yesh gvul.

This is great!

Who needs taxes for schools anymore?

Just get an IPO expert or a hedge fund or equity fund on board for funding, and if that elementary school can't find the right one, then fuck 'em.

On the subject, Snapchat share price is in the doldrums, lately.

Buh-by new books, and I don't recall the last time musical instruments were bought for any school in the last forever anyway.

Not to worry, there will be some few coming along to save the day with charity ventures to some 200 schools in the US out of the 100,000 that need it.

when they take the taxes and then cut the funding for "extras" like books...
oh and they have been cutting funds for "extras" since the 70s.
