It appears that threats of violence between the a neo-nazi furry group and an anti-fascist furry contingent lead to cancellation of this year's Rocky Mountain Fur Con after the Crowne Plaza hotel increased its demand for a security payment by the convention organizers. It all began last year when an #alt-right furry group, the Furry Raiders, reserved a large block of hotel rooms in advance of the convention.

The nazi furries were allegedly called out for their fascist ideology by an "anti-fascist" member, a Miss Deo. She also made some twitter treat and received one in return. The nazi furries are accused of using their ideology to manipulate the Colorado furry scene whatever that is. Meanwhile, Kendall Emery sent a cease and desist letter to Miss Deo. Mr. Emery, the leader of the Fur Con Board became angry in turn when he was revealed to be a sovereign citizen who was registered as a sex offender for contact with a minor back in 1993.

And in the ensuing months, the furry community did some soul-searching. While the #AltFurry hashtag grew in popularity at the tail end of 2016 and into 2017, a left-wing movement rose to meet them. The antifa furry movement coalesced around a rallying cry of “Nazi Furs Fuck Off,” and began organizing to block perceived Nazis from furry gatherings.

Right now, it looks like the convention is off . . . but stay tuned, kids. Sorry to disappoint you.

Wow. Sooo, wait. Bi-Partisan Furries? Do they draw the line at spots or mutts? Are only white haired furries allowed?
Or, is it only indigenous Furries that make the cut? No, wait. That wouldn't work. Must be a secret hump or butt sniff to weed out the undesirables.

But Cheryl Wassus thought the Motor City Furry Con was an event for pets

But she assumed they would be spending the day with other pet lovers and pets

But then it makes me wonder who was responsible for the chlorine gas released at another convention

Authorities evacuated thousands from a Chicago-area hotel Sunday after guests complained that a noxious order was spreading.

Now detectives are investigating, and police say it appears that “an intentional act” was behind high levels of chlorine gas that forced the evacuation at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, Illinois, early Sunday morning. The hotel was hosting the Midwest FurFest, a convention where many attendees don animal costumes and “celebrate furry fandom, that is, art, literature and performance based around anthropomorphic animals,” according to the event’s website.

Video from WGN shows guests dressed as foxes, tigers and bears spilling onto the streets as fire trucks and hazmat crews arrive.

Nineteen people who suffered from nausea and dizziness were treated and transported to area hospitals, officials said.

“This incident is being treated as a criminal matter,” the Rosemont Public Safety Department said in a statement.

On Twitter, organizers of the annual conference said they were looking for tips about what happened.

Investigators detected a high level of chlorine gas in the air when they arrived at the hotel around 1 a.m., officials said.

Hazmat teams found the source of the smell in a stairwell on the hotel’s ninth floor: a “substance, consistent in odor and appearance to powdered chlorine,” the public safety department said.

In a statement Sunday, convention organizers said guests were allowed to return to their rooms several hours after the evacuation.

“In the course of investigating the scene, the Rosemont Police Department determined that this was a criminal act and began investigating it as such. This delayed allowing our guests back into the hotel,” the statement said, describing the situation as an “unfortunate incident.”

Refunds will not be offered, organizers said, “because this was an unforeseen possibly criminal act.”

People seem to be getting crazier and crazier. I've been to a lot of BDSM play parties. Ran one for years, and I've never known the politics of those attending. I knew the harmless socially awkward and the creeper and the drama victims and the predators, but I've never known their political leanings.

You know my politics only because I have expressed myself here. If we were to meet at a friend's wedding i would not express my politics because given the circumstances it would be inappropriate. I would hope you had the same self-control and consideration for the other guests.

Furthermore, did you notice that in what I wrote above I made not a single reference to your personal knowledge. Why? Because that would be inappropriate. I don't need to say something negative about you to elevate my self-esteem.
