ORIGINAL: KitsuneRivka Merry Meet all! I have a pretty personal question. Does anyone here practice using an uncommon pantheon? I've been trying to find a Goddess and God to worship (or more if I connect to more) but don't seem to connect to anyone from the Greek, Roman, Buddhist, Egyptian, and Hindu pantheons, and it's been depressing me. I am of Italian, Irish, and German decent but when I try to look online for information on those indigenous religions I draw a blank. I can't seem to connect to anyone or anything spiritually...I used to connect strongly with Lilith, Isis, and Hecate, but since I had my youngest daughter (two years ago) I've heard nothing but silence. I've tried meditation, scrying, looking for subtle signs... Given the ancestry you've outlined, if the Roman pantheon didn't work for you, concentrating on the German and Celtic cosmology might be more helpful? There are mother Goddesses in both, and given the Goddesses you formerly identified with, that seems to be what you need. If looking for those religions online drew a blank (have you tried looking for Asatru or Odinism rather than the germanic pantheon?), maybe reading around the subject would help? I'd suggest you find a copy of Fraser's The Golden Bough and Grave's The White Goddess and read through those. The latter should certainly provide some form of inspiration. Murray Hope's Practical Celtic magic is incredibly basic, but might provide a route into the Celtic pantheon, as might the several sources published about using the Celtic Ogham alphabet as an occult tool. And good luck with it.
