To be fair, it's at least vaguely more stimulating than when he tries to think for himself.

Lucylastic -> RE: Leftist Fundamentalism (4/25/2017 10:09:22 AM)

no, no its not
we have a 100 page thread on hillary with his "quotes" asserting her guilt with nothing but partisan biased commentary.
Thats all it is.Thats all it has ever been

I'm rather warming to the PSA that was deleted last night.

To achieve the full benefits of trade, however, we need not just a little more economic freedom the typical mixed economy offers us today; we need a system of full political and economic freedom: laissez-faire capitalism. In such as system, individual rights, including property rights, are recognized and protected, all property is privately owned, and the government does not play any role in the economy (by regulating it, attempting to “stimulate” it, or “re-distributing” wealth from those who have produced it to those who have not).

Those who produced that wealth had it taken from them by the corporations and owners.
laissez-faire capitalism should include the allowed hanging of those who are laissez-faire.
Uh, our country was the most wealthy and booming in a time when the government ruled over the economy with an iron fist.

Today, we live in the most prosperous time in human history. Poverty, sicknesses, and ignorance are receding throughout the world, due in large part to the advance of economic freedom. In 2017, the principles of economic freedom that have fueled this monumental progress are once again measured in the Index of Economic Freedom, an annual guide published by The Heritage Foundation, Washington's No. 1 think tank.

Bounty, seriously, how can you post a statement like this without even questioning the truth of it and at least wondering what metrics are being used to come to the conclusion that this is the best of times for all people the world over? How do you measure that this is the most prosperous time in human history? Are they measuring the GDPs of OECD members? The list of members includes not one country from Africa, and with the exception of Israel and Turkey there are no countries from the Middle East, and only Japan from Asia. On the face of it the boasting for increasing wealth and prosperity is fall down laughable.

Seriously, how do we reach the conclusion that the world is in the most prosperous of times ever? We need to have a clear answer to that question before we can even begin to parse the effects of size of government and the other principals of economic freedom that have allegedly fueled this great global surge in good health and well being.

Seems for those trying to make a very superficial point, what is always overlooked is that the world is $223-$230 trillion in debt, most of it owed by the industrial west and most of the debt service being paid by the working class...not the investor class.

$223.3 trillion: The total indebtedness of the world, including all parts of the public and private sectors, amounting to 313% of global gross domestic product. Advanced economies tend to draw attention for their debt at the government and household levels.

HERE

The global debt reckoning. Total global debt at $230 trillion.

The banking sector rummages for every possible way of accessing debt. Global central banks from the Fed to the ECB to the Bank of Japan are now fully engaged in a digital printing end game.

HERE

So for the purposes of being objective, yes the west is more prosperous as long you don't have to pay for it...all at once. That's why debt is 'prosperity' or 'wealth.' So as long as you can handle the debt service, you're ok. Oh, and if you can keep refinancing your 'wealth' every so often.

MrRodgers -> RE: Leftist Fundamentalism (4/25/2017 11:40:52 AM)

Well what seems also to be almost purposefully forgotten [sic] is that America (and the world) never started out as a free market at all. To wit:

Then the 'refinement' of the corporate free market [sic] resulted in the monopolies and outright corruption and violence of the Dutch East India company. where navies were a partner in establishing 'free' markets for the investors...not the slave workers.

Then the American revolution that was as much inspired by the East India Co. et all that also got royal favors and support.

Then the Pilgrims were 'given' and acre of 'free' Indian land to stop the violence and outright corruption of the previous 'free' market.

Then industrial development necessarily began with private money particularly in infrastructure that resulted in monopolies that were very highly regulated for obvious reasons. That didn't last.

Then came the Homestead act of 1862 with 160 acres of more 'free' Indian land for a fee and 'working' it for 5 years. Revised down to 40 acres under the same terms or just buy it outright for $1.25 an acre.

So yea, the so-called 'free' market which was provided by govt. has worked splendidly for what 400 years for the royals, the elites, the investor class, not so much for the masses and their real wealth...of labor.

Isn't there something in the TOS about posting articles in their entirety? I thought someone pointed that out recently.

bounty44 -> RE: Leftist Fundamentalism (4/25/2017 2:27:20 PM)

no, not really. the TOS forbids "Copyright infringement" and leaves it vaguely at that.

mod3 wrote this: "Copyrighted material may be cited in your posts only if you include just the relevant section and provide a link to the full article."

however, not only is it debatable over what's "relevant", posting most of the article, or even whole articles does not automatically disqualify the apparent "infringement" from being considered "fair use." the reverse is true as well---posting only a segments of a work DOES NOT automatically qualify it as fair use.

when other rules of "fair use" are considered (there are 4) the argument for it being a copyright infringement lessens.

in short, mod3 did not interpret the TOS rule correctly and the TOS leave room for discretion.

so comrades, given my "shallow beliefs" and what not, i'll just keep on "plastering" the forums with my "19th century propaganda" whenever the need/occasion arises.

There you have it . . a twelve word sentence devoid of any historical meaning whatsoever. Quick, Bosco, breathe on the mirror to assure us you at least have fog in your throat to match the fog in your brain. Would you care to defend that vacuous statement? Maybe you can put two sentences together.
Boy, you are so far out of your element in this discussion. Pitiful.

Yeah, you will because you, and I admit this does surprise me about you, have demonstrated by omission that you cannot articulate an argument originating in your own brain. It pains me to view you in the same category as BoscoX For god's sake, man, if you have the intelligence, use it to make your own points and paste resources for support.

Oh wait, oh wait!!!! The Old Testament tells us that god gave to Adam and Eve a whole garden. So, isn't that where private property and the free market started? And isn't that the blessed holiness beginning of Lassez-fairyness? No wonder is it that Martin Luther nailed his thesis on the door of the church? Seems quite appropriate. And as Hobbes predicted in retrospect one brother killed another for his inheritance. Spot on.

Oh look who showed up. How are you spanky. It's the racist that likes to believe he knows what he's talking about...but unfortunately doesn't know just how ignint he is.

Well let's see spanky. Let them eat cake was a monarchy, but you wouldn't understand that. If you look around and see which countries actually eat well, go to the doctor, live long and prosper, that will be your free market countries. I don't expect you to understand that spanky.

dumb as a post are ya..... evidently u didn't understand the actual question. hit a little close to home did it?

thanks for not answering the actual question, but that's normal for u. poster boi.

Next.

Oh wait....you think that you ask questions and I line up to answer them...hahahahahahahahahahahah [sm=happy-smiley58.gif][sm=happy-smiley58.gif][sm=happy-smiley58.gif]

oh hell no, not u.... that would be an indication of intelligence and management skills beyond a single cell amoeba. That would mean ur brains are in ur head, not anywhere boss-hoe can lick them and get jazzed....LOL!

nope... not an expectation of urs - u can breath easier now.
come on boss-hoe, save ur boi from being the only one who cant answer a question. he's just 1 more brain cell loss away from owning 30 cats, and ur the litter box.

Spanky, you've said all of the above before. It didn't make you look smart the first or second time. It still doesn't. Did you want to actually discuss being an affirmative action hire from the ghetto or does your racist hate not allow you to be thankful for getting out...well physically getting out, your mentality is still there. You can actually tell your story here on a thread about leftist fundamentalism and tell people what it's like to rise above your expectations to become a draftsman.

Who needs to be smart around u?? How would u know?

now I know u took an I.Q. test and the results were negative, but u really should look into getting some class..... er, I mean, management classes. Since u don't seem to like My opinion of u - improve urself so there can be some honest dialog here.

not that I expect u to be honest.

Oh spanky...nice try at new material. It would probably sound better in English.

Well see... he doesn't know!! and he cant answer questions ether way!! And doesn't know English ether, even his own pigin.

it must be so hard for u to come here and have a lowly student call u out on ur own business mistakes and u have no answer.....

all u have is a tired old racial slur that u haven't figured out only points out how pathetic ur business Management acumen is because the slur begs the questions ur too embarrassed to answer.

Come on man,..... ur an embarrassment to urself. If brains were rain, you'd be the Atacama Desert.

Spanky, the sky is blue. Too bad you're too dumb to know that. Someone should have helped you remember your colors. How pathetic is it that you don't know colors...and can't speak English.

so u painted the inside of ur colon blue?? Because since ur heads deeply up ur ass that's the only way ur sky could be like the rest of us.

otherwise ur kind of stupid knows no color. So even when u look in the mirror and still see stupid, how do u know?

I told u that plain sugar is affecting ur brain but u still keep ranting on..... Those Cookies & DNC donuts are waiting on u....

Come on man,..... ur an embarrassment to urself.

ur most hated leftist points out ur business acumen sucks Chinese Billionaire style, and that's the best u got?

......colon color management??

Cant speak English and don't know your colors. My you're an embarrassment to affirmative action.

and u're an embarrassment to American business by being exposed as ether a moron &/or fraud by someone u called embarrassment to affirmative action. And u cant get the better of hm.

Well, Chinese Billionaire poster boi.

that makes u multiple ways pretty damn stupid,

On a thread u started!! LOL!! [sm=happy-smiley58.gif]

So go start another thread where I can make the joke out of u that u are.....

Im having trouble understanding your pidgin. Did you say you're taking a class to learn your colors?

to nnanji only....

thank u for being the foundation for a research paper on cognitive bias Im turning in today. Im using this threads interaction with u to show ur "subjective social reality" and how its detrimental to ur stated business.

just letting ya know... congrats!

The local trolls' routine of constantly returning to the same prepared points the second they recognise one of their keywords is precisely how you programme a character in a computer game to fake sentience, isn't it?
