Russian MP incensed after son jailed in US

A member of Russian Parliament is outraged after his son was handed down a sentence of 27 years in prison for computer hacking crimes in the US.

Roman Valeryevich Seleznev, 32, was convicted in August for stealing credit card data from US restaurants, causing nearly $170m (£132m) in damages.
Russian MP Valery Seleznev said the sentence was "passed by man-eaters" and that his son was "abducted".

Seleznev made millions by selling the data on the dark web, US officials say.........

..............."Today is a bad day for hackers around the world," said US Attorney Annette L Hayes. "The notion that the internet is a Wild West where anything goes is a thing of the past.

"Whether the victims are multi-national banks or small pizza joints, we are all victims when our day-to-day transactions result in millions of dollars ending up in the wrong hands."

But the fukers can sell my data without asking me hmmm

Good.

But a typical Parent's reaction will be "My boy did no wrong" and they will stick by. But if he is caught dead to rights and did it, throw him in the slammer. Who cares what Daddy says ? You came here, you stole, you got caught, don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

And hows come the son of a government official has to steal ? Did he have a drug problem or something ? Seriously, I am sure they pay their MPs fairly well. Or is this one so morally bankrupt that he could not teach any honesty to the kid ? (we got politicians like that as well)

I have long said this country is fucked up, but over the years it has come to light that the whole world is fucked up. If I got caught stealing, of course my Parents would try to get me out of it, but they would not go on record bitching about the fact that I got thrown in jail for it.

Another thing, remember the kid in Singapore who vandalised something and was sentenced to caning ? The world was up in arms about that but I am all for it. If I were the Singaporean government I would say "OK, instead we will put him in jail where very few people speak English, for like seven years". Caning is over within two days max, as far as I heard. When you go to another country you agree to their laws. If I went to Saudi Arabia I would not bring whiskey and beer and pot.

The caning takes a couple days, and a few more for recovery, is that worse than taking years of your life away ?

Anyway, since it is not a violent crime he will be eligible for parole soon, or some sort of release. Maybe even go back home, but as personna non grata. Usually when they say 27 years they mean more like five. But they will keep him for at least the five because this is like a million dollars involved. If he gives it back he has alot better chance of getting out early.

And the fact is this punk probably thought his Daddy's political clout would save him if he got caught. Well that works sometimes, but not all the time.

We'll find out what happens in about five years if we are paying attention.

Stooge of Putin indeed.

Quick amendment But the "fukers" can take my data without my permission, and other fukers can sell my data to some other fukers, without asking me hmmm. I perceive a certain irony and hypocrisy. That aside who want to buy the eiffel tower? Exactly where is the difference in any of this?

Quite.
No capitalist has ever tried to pay for work that benefits them with other people's money: the orange blob of shit stinking up the white house has always made a point of settling all of his bills even if he had to sell some of his holdings to do so.

Not all, but the more radical ones.

Like the right, no abortion because god said it is wrong. That is not true, there is mention in the old testament of "bitter waters" which presumably induced a miscarriage.

Extremists on either side are wrong. They give their side a bad name. There was a guy named Akedah or something like that, a Zionist Jew living in NYC. He did not make excuses for Israel in fact sometimes criticised Israel. We got along and had many discussions about various things. Thing is he was not radical. I say was because he seems to have disappeared. He may have died. He was an older guy, born in Poland, lived in Britain for a time and then to NYC.

Anyway, he PMs me and says "You know, there are some people who you wish were not on your side", referring to some of the Israel firsters there. Even Israelis are not as adamant about "They can do no wrong" as these Christian assholes.

Some of the ultrasickening liberals here are probably not wanted by the normal liberals. Normal adults do not call the President of the US an orange piece of shit. Especially when the US provides most of their defense, at the cost of our own. I have found Aussies to be the worst. they want to tell us what is best for us. Vote for Hillary and give up your guns. Fat chance.

It's all OK though. They have no control over what we do, and personally I don't even talk about their governments. They like it there, stay. Same with Muslims, you are in a Muslim country, stay. Don't come here and try to adapt us to you. We will fucking shoot you. We will.

Do you know how easy it is to get away with killing someone you don't know ? Even if they bother to investigate all they know is the people who knew the decedent. Who cannot talk of course. You can walk in a bar, shoot someone and be gone by the time the police get there, and then the police get ten different stories they must sort through. They won't. They will look for someone the murdered person knows personally. Usually the spouse first.

Most cars have power windows now which makes it easier. Just put the window down, drop a few slugs into someone and drive away. By the time anyone even thinks of getting your license number you will be too far away. They got a vehicle description, probably matching millions of cars, and a time and date. And ballistics but over half the guns in this country have not been test fired for ballistics.

We are belligerent motherfuckers here. People have said right in court after one of their family was raped or killed, right to the judge, you better lock him up for life because as soon as he gets out he is dead meat. They don't have bodyguards for ex-cons.

I guess the guy wasn't recognized as one of the privileged class and got the same type of sentence an average joe would get. The privileged get a pass on following the law, doncha know. Right, Hillary?

Your ideological compadres spent eight years calling Obama worse than that. Were you complaining about this at the time, or is it just a president you voted for that you feel deserves respect for their office?

Wait a minute here. I never called Obama any names and I think he did some good things. Not among them was the ACA, he should have read it before signing it and sent it back for revision.

I have no ideological comrades. I think logically like Mr. Spock. Obama did some good things. Bring in the deal with Iran is a good thing because the alternative is WW3. He didn't do as well in much else. Those shovel ready jobs, of what did appear were temporary. All construction work is. He did nothing to regulate the banks effectively to prevent another 2008. He did refuse to veto the UN resolution against Israel about the settlements, and I support that.

You obviously do not know my posting history or your mind is clouded by the fact that I am not an ultrasickening liberal. And I am not all that happy with Trump either, so don't start thinking I support him. Still, he is not Hillary Clinton. We simply could not have her. She would almost guarantee a war, and a big one. Lately though I am not so sure Trump won't anyway, but it might be a different set of players, or actually partners. But I truly think she would have instigated it faster.

You think whatever you want - wrong or right. What you think of me matters not.

What I think of you ? Namecallling is childish. And what does the size of Trump's hands have to do with anything, other than he might get both of them up your ass ? Most of your posts are inane and contribute nothing. Maybe mine don't include cites and all that but they do include some real opinion, without the childishness.

If you want to be taken seriously, I think you know what to do. Will you ? Time will tell.

Actually no, you never said one word against all of the anti-obama name calling, and for somebody who claims not to support el presidente, you certainly spent most of last year making excuses for him and villifying Clinton. If your objection is not solely partisan, it does a very good impression of being so. The fact that you don't have a very realistic impression of your own image and posting history isn't my problem.
